  1. indigirl thanks for the link, SBT123 is making me one but I am off to have look at the iggy rescue site now to see what else you have
  2. Fantastic to hear this boy is being looked after I was sent an email about him yesterday and would have loved to help but I am overcrowded here as it is. So I sent the lady an email telling her about MDBA Pacers - good on you Steve for helping out!!!
  3. if it works out well would you be able to make me a staffy-sized one please and let me know how much it would cost
  4. But my sewing machine is buried under a pile of 'stuff' that I would have to sort out to get to it and that would take way too much time and effort How about adding a cosy cave to the warleywear range? ;)
  5. thanks guys... the Klam that bryan_mannix put up a link foris the style I was thinking of, but they are way more than I could afford. Anyone know of other suppliers that make something similar? Cleoj, had a look at Todds, you can order online, but they only have a small photo, would like to see them first. Do you know what other markets they go to? ETA just found a list of markets on their website
  6. There are no dogs sports happening in our little town. I would like to be able to train my dogs in agility, doggy dancing and maybe flyball and dock diving, wish we had some of these here.
  7. The ones that are like a mattressy thing with a cover over them that has something in the opening to keep it open a bit... not explaining myself very well, but if anyone knows what I am talking about, where do you get them? thanks
  8. Start of a new week, hope this is a very positive one for you Jed
  9. Congrats  Love the YouTube shots, I really love seeing dogs doing what they were bred for
  10. Had a lovely time today catching up with quite a few DOLers and their dogs  I did watch the Best in Group judging for the hounds, BIG was a Saluki and runner up the afghan - apparently the same dogs as yesterday just the positions reversed. Congrats to Diva and Jas for BOB and Alyosha and Boris for RUBOB in the Borzoi, and to IW4ME and Humphrey for RUBOB in Irish Wolfhounds, I think Irish Lady and her boy were BOB
  11. I will be there The OH now has a new job and he is working on Sunday so I have the whole day to myself... now where is that *evil grin* emoticon when you need it :D What time will you guys be getting there? Can't wait for some 'Zoi cuddles ;) And Humphrey cuddles too if he will let me
  12. Agreed! Mine will even manage to weasel her way in closer to the heater than the greyhounds, and that is saying something! Ari is my first whippet (after owning and fostering greyhounds for about 5 years) and she is adorable. She is very friendly and quite affectionate with the family, but rather aloof with people she doesn't know. She is playful and mischievious, and a bossy little so-and-so, she rules the other dogs even though she is the youngest and smallest. With other dogs she can take a bit of time to warm up to them, she is not immediately playful, but once she gets to know them she does like to play. Hope that helps :D

  15. Thank you so much, have replied to your PM. If he can get to Camplbelltown by Sunday he can get a lift from there for the last leg of his journey. Can anyone pick him up from The Ark and bring him to Sydney?
  16. Sorry for putting this in general but help is needed urgently, so putting it here for those who don't look in the rescue forum. There is a male whippet in Muswellbrook Pound who has rescue but only if we can get some transport help. We need someone to pick him up from Newcastle or Central Coast tomorrow afternoon around 2.30 and drive him to Hornsby. Failing that can anyone in the Newcastle/Central Coast area temp care him until we can get transport sorted. Without some assistance this boy will not be able to be rescued from the pound. If you can help please contact me or dogmad by PM or phone me on 0410 456 263 Thanks

  22. Just wanted to say that I no longer vaccinate my dogs for kennel cough, and I regularly have foster dogs here who come in with it. Some of my dogs have had it once, some never, and now they don't seem to get it at all so I think they have built up some natural immunity ETA that of the many foster dogs I have had over the last 5 years who have had KC, only one has been bad enough to require antibiotics, all the rest recovered with no special treatment apart from keeping them warm and quiet (well as quiet as possible :D ).
