  4. First time poster here I hope you dont mind me joining in After getting a new camera and having a play around with it I sorta feel comfortable posting these 2 I like the stormy skys in the one with the jetty I was trying to capture the skys and the look of travelling down the bridge. With the Waiting lady I was trying for some night shots, I really like the lights and the look over town (this one is a gift that we have been give judges that come from over east to judge at our shows)

    Cleo

Horus Im very sorry for your lost. Fly free at the bridge Cleo Im sure my Chubb will meet you there Cleo was very lucky to have you in her live Horus.
  7. Ginger tab are great to control the vomiting
  8. Horus when I was homless after selling one home and waiting for settlement on the other, I fed supercoat for sensitive skin because it came in a smaller bag and easier to carry around with 4 dogs in the car from one friends house to the other and found that my dogs did fine on it too. I also fed supercoat puppy to all my pups, as a dry base to their chicken/pork/lamb mince ,veggies, yogurt, chicken frames/wings or necks
  9. Hi Belinda I feed my spotted hoons on bonnie white & lite dry food and chicken carcass and wings, its a very simple diet that works for me. With dallies you do have to watch the protein/ purine levels so that stones dont form I always try and keep my protein below 22% hence the bonnie dry food. I never feed any sort of offal or a lot of red meat. Your breeder will give you an information sheet on what to feed your puppy and also should offer great advise as to what they feed their grown dogs.
  10. If it is stones there is a lot of good information on the American Dalmatian Club web site, here is the addy: http://www.thedca.org/stones.html Hope you get it all sorted out.
  11. My grace who is top dog in this household will do a growl and a mouth to disipline(sp?) the others around here its very handy when mums dog who is an only dog comes to stay she will follow him around growl and mouth him if he tries to hump or get on top of one of the other dogs, after about 10mins mums boy is a very well behaved boy and joins in the pack no worries. Prehaps Jake was just tring to teach Zahra some manners as the others said I wouldnt leave them alone, but also wouldnt jump on Jake and disipline him too hard if Zahra is really annoying him. Hope this makes sense
  12. With the dallys because you must watch the protein levels its bonnie white and lite and chicken carcass and wings, occassionally they will get left over pasta/rice and at the moment a bit of crayfish, but mainly bonnie and chicken
  13. I have an autofill and it just attaches to a hose.........I find that the autofill is better than the twin tank because when Im washing my dog I use the same washing water ( in one tank) and always have clean rinsing water for each dog, OH made me a trolley so that I could wheel it to where I wanted to wash the dogs then wheel it away in the shed when Im finished.
  14. I have 2 dallys who are 2yr old and they still act like puppies.....from digging, chewing things to just plain hooning Like jbbb said I think it depends on the dog.........dallys are puppies for life!
  15. Austogo yes I think that you can safely say we are hooked CF go the spotted hoons :p I know what you mean the rest of the dog in our class are working dogs but Im pleased to say my Amazing Grace put them to shame last night by not being scared to give thing a go ETA Chicko it is a blast isnt it
  16. Grace my 5yr dalmatian and I started agility last night and had a blast!!! We did the table, the tunnel both with and without the floppy end (if you know what I mean ) jumping through the tyer and over some small jumps, which Grace LOVED when we where tring to pack up the the jumps she just keeped going over and over them (she used to love jumping the horses jumps when I used to instruct at pony club) and we also did some touch exercises with the a board flat on the ground and some follow the finger and left and right turns.........How much fun is this agility stuff Im very lucky that Grace is 100% reliable off leash and will not leave me....so most thing done last night where done off leash so I didnt have to worry about getting tangled up in the leash thanks for listening to my ranting we just had sooooo much fun and I had to tell someone :p
  17. Thanks for that everyone........Something else to be paranoid about :D says she that will now attend obediance with a can of glen20 to spray around the other dogs .........no seriously what are the symptoms, coughing, a hacking dry cough or a chesty cough? Do the dogs get a temp? Do they go off there food etc? Thanks for youur patiance in explaining this to me as I have never seen it before. :D
  18. Can I ask a silly question..........and appoligize for hijacking your thread Peri......but can dogs still catch KC if they are vaccinated, with C5 that covers KC? Not having any experiance with KC but I do attend obediance and the occasional show.
  19. When I was a groomer i started off mobile and built up a client base then went to home based, most of my clients stayed with me but the ones that couldnt be bothered bring their dogs to me where the ones that only had the dogs in their backyard to say they had a dog...if you know what I mean :D So I think that people who really care about their dogs will chose someone with experiance over a franchise. ;)
  20. MSJ Im sorry for your loss Jenna fly free with the angels
  21. excuse the photo OH really wasnt in the mood for photo taking
  22. Spuddie man has his 1st show tomorrow so is bathed and groomed ready to go.
  23. I had Malt Bob pts at home there was no way I was going to take him to the clinic for that........The vet might charge you a travling fee......but most will come to your home
  24. Think of you at this horrible time :D Just a thought with Joey after Jenna has passed let Joey sniff her and be with her for a time.........I think that it helps the other dog come to terms that the dog has gone.........Your in my prayes at this hard time ;)
  25. Someone told me that hot spots are caused by too much protein in the diet.....is that correct does anyone know? :D
