  1. It would be unsafe for her to land on a cushioned area, it is much safer for her to land on a stable surface, the worry with her jumping off is that she is getting a bit wobbly on her old legs these days, and is sore around the neck and shoulder area, but she still seems quite confident to jump, it is me that is paranoid. Thanks for caring though. She is on meds for arthritus and pain etc. Thanks for the replies, I will go ahead and order one for her, sounds like we may even share
  2. I am thinking of getting one of these for my elderly whippet who at present sleeps snuggles under my quilt, I am concerned about her jumping off the bed, she will not climb down the steps that she uses to get up onto the bed, so I am hoping that if I put one of these in a bed beside my bed, she may be happy to sleep there. This would allow me to sleep instead of waking up everytime that she moves in case she needs to be lifted off the bed. Also does anyone know of a good price, I have found variations of $30 when I googled.
  3. I heard the Animal Welfare League appealing for warm bedding etc here in Adelaide.
  4. Woofers at Christies Beach carry them, and also Rural Meats at O'Halloran Hill too,........ don't know how far south you are.
  5. I bought the Wagner 625g tablets and would like to know the proper dosage too......................
  6. Looks like a good clip though...........
  7. My old girl is on Vivitonin, which has helped her a little, some dogs respond really well on it though so it is well worth a try, have a chat to your Vet about it. It increases the blood supply to the brain and heart. It is so sad to see them getting old...............it breaks my heart................I just treat every day I have with her as a blessing.
  8. .... Me? Or Rommi n Lewis? I am not sure what dosage they were using on the dogs that were in the double blind study, I will see if I can re-trace my steps and find the article on the Norwegian study. But 6 "Wagner" brand 625mg Ester C tablets, for a 60kg adult (hooman adult) per day. Sorry, I thought you also had your dog on it,(read the post in a hurry), I am going to try it for my nearly 15 year old whippy and also for me, I have had one THR and don't want another one, I bought them yesterday, so will take the 6 daily for me, but was wondering what dose for my girl.. I'll try one, she'll just excrete the excess from what I have read. Thanks
  9. What dosage do you use for your dog, what weight is he/she ?

  13. yes... I am hoping that her brain will have subconsciously done some sorting/assimilating and so it will be not quite such a fearsome blow.More candles and prayers .... ha pers, you have said in a short sentence what took me paragraphs to say... clever girl. I think there is definitely some truth in what you say... but then I am a spiritual person. My feeling is Jane is currently doing the initial stages of healing her soul... I hope that does not offend anyone. + 1......well said......sending prayers and burning candles here for Jed tonight.

I just hope that her body heals as quickly as possible so that she has the strength to cope with the horrific news she is going to face when she awakes. I pray for strength for her.
