You need a permit to drop off otherwise you have to walk in from the parking area.

This is looking like my situation too. I'm still training, but I think she's coming in (her seasons have always been irregular, and last one was silent so I just dont know!) Yep my girl came into season 2.5 months early. She is on her way out now so should be right to go by ET in 1.5 weeks. Just frustrating as I thought she would be right as she is normally so regular but having pyo stuffed up her cycle. My girl isn't due until October earliest depending if she goes back to 6 months or continues 8 so don't think this will happen to us. Not that I'd mind seeing as I plan on mating her lol :p Yeah my girl is normally bang on 6 months hour all the meds she was on in April must have stuffed up her cycle. Oh well can only cross my fingers and hope!

Congratulations on your first points and a fringie to boot I heard Kempsey was wet, glad I had a dry weekend at my show! Dare is nearly 3/4 of the way to her title. She picked up a Minor in Group and a 2nd in 6-12 sweeps this weekend :)

Introduction To Scent Sports
poocow replied to Scottsmum's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I do nose work with Moo (and partially trained Monkey up) - they both love it. http://k9nosetime.com/ -
The Sydney ET is a closed course - the Dogs NSW gates at closed and locked for the duration, no one in or out. However people have brought other dogs onto the grounds for the duration of the event - last year it was a trailer load of GSDs who went off their nut the entire time. There would be nothing to stop someone bringing an extra bitch that was in season and not competing etc.

Thanks :) You handled your friends Aussie fine :) They are a fun breed. I like having something to groom - though some show days I question my sanity

My homebred baby Dare finished off her time in baby this past weekend by taking out her 7th and 8th baby in groups. Super proud of her, its no mean feat considering shes a rare breed! Crappy iphone photo: I put 3 pups in show homes from this litter - between them they have won 16 classes in group, 1 class in show and multiple 1st placings in sweepstakes And they turn 6 months old tomorrow :)

Do you have a heated whelping box? Or a heated mat? Vocalisation can often be because they are cold.
-
Have to agree there certainly is symptoms!!!! There's no rule for pyo - my 2 year old bitch had it over Easter. That would have only been her 4th season.

Well done :)

I hadn't seen a date listed, but was unaware tin would not take place. Has this been confirmed? M A friend was going to be running one of my dogs it was up on the site date to be confirmed and then that was removed so she rang them up and they have told her ACT not running this year Yes I had heard its only going to be run every 2 years.
-
Yes that's correct. It can cause male puppies to develop incorrectly. And agree it's really only done once pregnancy is confirmed and to maintain levels.
-
Yes once a prog injection is given the prog test results don't mean squat. Tablets are a safer way to go as it's easier to monitor levels.
-
I'm a bit confused as to why the injections are being given this early? Is your vet a repro specialist? Does your bitch have a history of aborting litters?
-
This is my first homebred baby - only 3 months old but I'm excited for her future Her brother is up in QLD taking the show rings by storm. In 3 weeks hes won 5 x Baby Puppy in Groups and 1 x Baby Puppy in Show. 3 of his wins were in huge 200+ gundog groups and included the Toowoomba Royal. Very proud breeder

Neuter dogs must be on the main register

Frozen Semen Who Has Had Success & Using Who?

While I haven't used him myself this guy is the go to repro specialist in QLD. My friends highly recommend him - Phil Thomas at QLD Vet Specialists. -
Maclean is not happening this year.
-
I'm there showing on the 12th (Dare sweeps), 14th (Moo), 17th (Monkey) :)

Yes with prog testing for AI it is always best to get a baseline reading at day 1.
