Dry Coat, Hair Loose. Possibly Food? Advice Needed!
Clyde replied to wolf82's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Too right! I think RC are one of few companies who specify ingredients as a whole, rather than break it down to make it look like less cereals etc (such as IAMS/Euk etc do). Very sneaky how some companies list their ingredients in the apparent order. Along with RC, I believe Eagle Pack also list the "honest" way. -

Can anyone show me something factual that says prong collars are indeed legal for use in NSW please???? Have just been speaking to someone who is doing the Delta course and they were told that they are illegal. I have always thought they were legal in NSW, but now I am not so sure........... -
Perhaps you need to find a new vet........ my vet takes a good fifteen minutes per animal, going over each one extremely thoroughly. Why is it then, that both these breeds are so much more susceptible to parvo as puppies?

Copraphagia. Do a DOL search, there are some really good tips on preventing this. Feeding pineapple is supposed to be successful.

This is the bath inside the shed (s'cuse mess) I hope this makes sense Trina. At the back of the shed, I cut little holes to fit the fittings through Close up of fittings One fitting has s short amount of hose with a hose connector on the end, which is what I connect my garden hose to. you can see the connection in the second pic I posted. The other hose is the overflow which doesn't ever do much. I had exactly the same fittings on my trailer. So it's easy..... I just unravel the garden hose when I want to fill up the bath and connect it the the hose connector which is coming out from the back of the bath/shed on a bit of hose. Then this sticks out the side of the bath, and it is where the dirty water comes out. I also have another small piece of the shed cut out with some pipe feeding that through. Then on the other side of the shed, I have some soft pipe stuff (which I can roll up) which stretches out on to the lawn so the dirty water drains out on to there. I was initially worried about killing the grass with the shampoos, tick rinses etc.... but my grass is more lush there than anywhere else. This pic isnt very clear, but it shows the garden hose coming in to the back of the shed to connect to the bath, and the pipe leading out from the shed to let the dirty water out. Hope this helps

I used to own a mobile service and used an autofill with no probs. I also have the Conmurra twin tank (autofill). From memory it is about $1650. At the moment it is set up in my garden shed so I can wash dogs rain, hail or shine. I've modified the connections a little so that it can all be "packed" away nicely for in between wash days. It doesnt have to permanently plumbed, I just attach the garden hose to the back of my bath when I'm ready. I would definitely go the auto fill Trina, with the three large dogs. It's so nice to wash my three without having to move from the tub fiddling with taps. The bath is on the other end of the garden to where the hose is kept. I have also made a pipe type of hose extension so that the dirty water drains away from my work area and goes on the lawn. This rolls up in between baths. Happy to take photos if you need a clearer picture

Have you approached the Club about your concerns? Could you ask another member for advice?

Tea Tree In Dog Shampoo And Conditioner.....
Clyde replied to pesh's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I know a lot of groomers who use Tea Tree based shampoos as it is supposdely helps to whiten. Personally, I wouldn't touch the stuff. I have done so many years ago, and found it to be very drying over several washes and made my dogs itchy. -
Uncontrollable Urge To Pee. Stops On Vomit
Clyde replied to Erny's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Erny, could you find another vet? Your current one has taken about two weeks to reply to your emails. Perhaps a different vet might actually suggest tests and offer something further. I'm sorry you are still going through this -
Yes, that's the one

I can't remember what it's called either, but a friend just had that done to her Dogue. She was so worried about bloat, her vet did alot of research and they went ahead and did it last week while she was desexed. Something about pulling the stomach lining tighter?

Mickatie there is no point having a go at CLabradoodle. Not everyone is a dog guru.

I blame DOL for playing up the last two days!! It's gotten us all on edge

Oh come on..... I was having a laugh - trying to lighten the thread a little. Which is why I put the other little emoticons down the bottom, to make it clear....obviously not clear enough. Sorry for trying to be friendly.

Welcome to DOL! Would love to see pics of your baby, I'm sure he/she is adorable, no matter what the breed(s). I don't see why it's become such an issue for some

How Would I Go About Training My Rotty To Lay Down
Clyde replied to Scope's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Can you still control them when it's just one female (arent you female?) person holding on? against the strength of his chest? He looks damn powerful!! Or is it all done in a controlled environment? I can quite comfortably say if your boy pulled me with that chest harness on, I would drag along behind him :D <I'm a bite work virgin and curious to know more> -

What's an agitation harness? If he was in the front, he's only crawl on to your lap no doubt :D -

Put him in the front seat :D I have the same problem with my Saints fat head in the back of my car. I tell her drop, which she does for one second then her head looms up again :D I will be watching this thread with interest, as it can be very annoying (and dangerous). Just curious what the chest plate thingo is for with your Rotti? He has a lovely boofer head -
Oh no!! Poor Pete, I was just thinking about him the other day when I was going through my photos. I think he was my first fluffy too :p The poor dear had more homes than he'd had birthdays. It took some white lies and stories to get him down to you Roz (Auntie ;) ), but was well worth it I am sure. RIP little mate. I will never forget your excitable little twirls before walks and 'wuffs' to be be picked up the couch. :p Run free Pickle Pete
