  1. Clients of mine used them a few weeks ago and said her dog was depressed and clingy for a couple of weeks after going back home. Bear in mind this dog is very soft natured, and IMO not suitable to any kennel environment.
  2. Lovely! I like the little muddy dog
  3. They're a cope of the original, I'd be interested to hear how they compare. At that price, if they work as well I'll go back and buy a few if they have them then.
  4. It could also be a change in water supply. Ohhhh yes!! I feel that way with every puppy, really. I end up in tears and wanting to give the pup to the milk man or anyone who is walking past. It's a long hard slog but so so worth it in the end. Just know your limits though. Do your best and if you can't manage, ask for help. If this fails then worst case scenario rehome pup in to a loving home but don't think locking the puppy outside will solve your problems. Not saying you would do that, but many do. ;) Good luck!!! If you've raised your child to reach 3 yrs and made it out alive, you can do this with a puppy.
  5. She just gets itchy, then the site swells and becomes sore. It then goes every colour of the rainbow to about one inch either side of the bite site. It takes about 16 days to settle down completely and about 7 days for the site to stop weeping. It does worry me though as each time her reaction seems a little worse. It doesn't seem to affect her any other way though. Your kids will usually just get itchy before anything else. I know how you feel with the dust mites. I had that allergy as a child and pretty much snorted and sniffed my way through childhood. I still remember being told I couldn't sleep with my teddy anymore - Oh the horror, I'm still scarred
  6. With the way my cats coats have been lately I'll chuck a couple of them in too.
  7. I pulled three out of my daughters scalp and one from her chest on the weekend. Poor thing is allergic, they've all swelled up and are weeping. On the funny side I showed a friend yesterday and told her that Miss 5 had a third nipple. It was funny watching her be polite but quietly horrified.
  8. quick quick, anyone? They've almost sold out   I got it, lets hope it's grey/black!
  9. What colour do you think the cat scratch post is? It appears to be black or grey but last I assumed it was actually navy. http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/smallfish_...roducts_id=5952
  10. I actually think he seems very settled given his welcome. Most people would have flounced off by now.
  11. How long have you had him for? Perhaps his change in diet in causing him to smell a bit and with any luck it will soon settle with your diet (which is a fab diet too btw). With the Malaseb you really need to be leaving it on for the full ten minutes. Although I don't know if I would use it as a routine wash unless their are signs of skin irritation. The Malaseb is very drying. As a routine shampoo try Aloveen (also made by Dermcare) then also the Aloveen Leave In Conditioner is great for keeping the Oodle coats under control and knot free.
  12. Perhaps check his ears. I find Poodle and Oodle ears tend to get a bit smelly. Welcome to the forum
  13. I wouldn't even consider a Lab pup with my 5yr old. They are big bouncey pups who will have small kids either scared of the dog or being bowled over every 5 minutes. Bad idea.
  14. Good luck with it Danielle, cattle can be a lot of fun, although very hard on your fencing. I grew up on a cattle station and was also a sucker for the poddys. :D
  15. I agree. I often have clients asking me to do with when I groom their dog, I always explain that I believe it's best not done as a routine thing rather, only as needed under vet advice.
  16. They are very good vets but I dont think?? they have wheelchair access. Someone would need to assist getting in the front door.
  17. Not really West, but Gladesville Vets have all the above and I think they're fantastic!!
  18. It's never too late to do any sort of training. I have crate trained a 6 yr old dog with no problems. Your pup is at the perfect age
  19. Oh PINK! Mine is boring old yellow. It doesn't have heat but heats up from the motor within minutes. I would love a pink one.........
  20. Come and work for me! I am over all the drying now. I couldn't be without my Oldfields now, it really does cut the drying down to about one quarter of the time. I blast til about 95% dry and then use my Simpson to brush out and get the fluffed look (for Sibes, Saints etc). I agree about the Simpsons, love mine. Best stand dryer that I've tried. efs
  21. It would take yonks to do a Saint with a Simpson, even a Cav too
