  1. Clyde, do you have a link? I just bought another one. https://www.madeit.com.au/storecatalog.asp?userid=5462 Huga's collars are also on that site http://www.madeit.com.au/storecatalog.asp?userid=568
  2. I think they might be doing a re run on Sunday night. I vaguely heard something on the TV in the other room earlier. I might watch it again, just so I can hear them say 'mashitty'
  3. Perfect I bought 3 cards form Madeit of yours. I am going to frame them and put them up in the salon ;)
  4. Ah! But if the dog has a reaction to Advantix spot on it's very likely it will react to the Permoxin. I would use Proban. I alternate in between Permoxin and Advantix, and I have cats in the house. I have had two clients dog have severe reactions to Comfortis.
  5. British Bulldogs too! The breeder of my girl said to be careful of her with other dogs as different breeds often react to the Bulldog jaw and noises. When I first brought Mildred home my Rotti was terrified of her for about two weeks as her jaw protruded which showed her teeth and she had loud growly breathing.
  6. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=50264 It started back in '06, so just jump in on the last page.
  7. I'd stay away from any prey driven breed given that you have a squeaky, small fluffy dog. Personally, I steer clear of GSD's, Rotties, all bull breeds and ACD's. It's nothing personal but playing easily goes from fun to disastrous within seconds. I get that people pick their little fluffies up too much but if you ever feel he is in danger you need to throw all that out that window and do as you did last night, pick your dog up and turn around.
  8. I wasn't, I was curled up on my lounge eating chocolate - I thought the handler looked foolish but now I am getting more of an idea that portraying 'out of control' is the desired effect. Thanks for the explanation, it does make sense now. :nahnah:
  9. Esme had a tiny bit over her eye as a pup. SBT123 recommended aloe from memory. Perhaps shoot her a PM to be sure, or even better ask in the Stafford sub forum. :nahnah:

    Chiquito

I'm so sorry, he was a gorgeous looking boy :D
  11. Yep I get that and agree with you, that's why I think Isla still seemed like she did a good job - she did heaps of manic barking and so on. It was just the overall picture, body language of Tank and Tanks handler appearing to struggle..
  12. I'm interested to know trainers thoughts on the two security dogs tonight. To my untrained eye, Tank seems, untrained, bordering on manic and I felt that his handler had trouble keeping him under control. It appeared to be an accident waiting to happen. Isla on the other hand seemed in control, trained, no handler worries yet still absolutely able to perform her duties. Thoughts?
  13. There is no way I would ever agree to that. Too many things can go wrong.
  14. I've often wondered about the following up of this. Kojak was a lovely, giving person - a very tragic loss to his family and community
  15. There is a huge difference between having your tonsils removed and a full spey. Where I go all dogs get fluids inclusive of cost . PAP is extra and usually recommended for older pets only(7+). IMO fluids gives the dogs a better recovery in the large breeds. Back to the OP, I think the cost your puppy buyers paid is outrageous. I had my 6yr old Saint Bernard bitch done in season, fluids, PAP etc and it was around the $500 mark. This was at a top clinic, affluent area etc etc.
  16. Completely agree! To me it's all about breeder support, or at least having breed support.
  17. I feed mine the Eagle Pack (anchovy one), plus smaller chicken bones, chicken mince and sometimes BARF commercial patties (when I remember to defrost them). My dogs don't get any other bones as I've had too many near death incidences with them. They are all wonderfully fit and healthy. *pouts* I think it's unfair to post without a photo :D
  18. I agree. That's more than a lot of Saint Bernards.
  19. The best thing I have found for pullers is to walk them separately. I know it's not always practical but most dogs try to out do the other and it becomes a battles of wills and pulling as to who is leading. I would walk them separately at least until you have them separately trained to heel. :D
  20. Gorgeous . Are you tempted to have one? :D
  21. If it's brown and knee high or above it's a 'pitbull' to a lot of people.
