  1. She looks like she needs an older style human name... Alice, Molly, Ester, Ruby, Lulu, Lola, Toola, Tabitha,
  2. I picked my puppy based on my colour preferences and there was only one available in the litter. but I did not meet her until I picked her up from the airport!
  3. I used to be a member and had lots of fun there (and remember meeting you there once upon a time schnauzer!).. I really enjoyed it! We got up a few levels which was really fun. The only other dog training groups in the area is at Leichhardt. But I found that a bit hectic. Eastern Suburbs is a bit more relaxed and chilled.
  4. Beautiful photos! LOVE that chair too!
  5. Bart, that's great to hear! It helps with rehoming if people know that.. I hope she finds a home!
  6. Is she desexed? If not, will she be desexed prior to rehoming?
  7. It happens ALL the time, people at the pounds say "No, we don't have any dogs of that description" only for the person to go to the pound and find their dog.
  8. My sister got a boxer from Lithgow Pound numerous years ago that I transported for her down to Victoria. He is Deaf. He has a screw loose (or more!), suffers hayfever terribly, his eyes swell, he sunbakes... She's a sweet dog, but he's crazy! But i don't believe that has any reflection on the breed itself... He's definitely not there all up top though. He is a very weird dog.
  9. Probably because you don't want to be judged by other people at the hearding weekend by taking a dog who is limping. You wanted to check what other doggie people think before being judged.... The dog is obviously not being rushed, you are still talking about it this long after the event, while the dog is still limping and hobbling..
  10. Thanks everyone. I am really happy with them too!
  11. I just want to share 'cause I love them I was out Mt Buffalo last week and took some photos of the ice and snow. Here are some of my favourite photos of the ice and this one...
  12. Who on DOL makes harnesses? Fabric, Canvas, Webbing, Leather.... I would consider all - but need to be Small and light weight. I need a particular style and have photos to match. I am also after a fine lead (nylon or leather) that is durable and LONG and light. Again, I have photos of these if it helps. And if your are open to bartering even better
  13. *waves* Hey K Sorry to hear you are having issues. You've been given great advice here...
  14. Yay! Glad to see you posting again Jed. Great Strength shining through...
  15. Anyone noticed how his vet co-star on the show has a TV Advertisement with a major pet food company and her dog is an Oodle?
  16. wolfgirl, while that might be so, this was at a dog training class. every dog training class i have been at, there have been child handlers with their dogs. It is not beyond the realm of possibility for a child to have been involved in this incident, especially since this dog has a reputation issues previously. While it may not be Human Aggressive in the truest sense, the risk to a child or a smaller dog is a great risk in this training situation.
  17. I am so glad that this project has come through so well!! It was touch and go for a while, but to see it win this award - amazing!
  18. Gladesville are the most accommodating that I have ever been to. Thorough in tests, easy to talk to, great service. Really fantastic!. My friend also uses Great Western Animal Hospital? She says they are absolutely wonderful, and she won't go anywhere else.
  19. Oh Jed... much love. my heart breaks reading your tribute to Magnus. The hope we had when reports were he was alive, and the pain felt when we realised he wasnt, radiated through this forum. And I know that pain will have been a million times worse for you. Goodbye Magnus, Smurf hunter extraordinaire!
  20. Sardines are actually very oily and will definitely put weight on if you make them an addition to what you are already feeding him. Take a deep breath, relax and think about how much freer your beautiful Pug must feel with all that weight shed!
  21. This happened to my cav when I go her. had the nasal spray, then developed KC/pneumonia. Unfortunately there was also a plane trip involved, so she could have caught it from any dog that traveled on the plane. (this is why I am very sad to see many rescue dogs being flown before any quarantine outside of the pound Vaccinations are never 100% and they require some time in the system to build up resistance in the body...
