I went for a walk the other day,

to clear my head, when along the way.

I came upon a sight to sorry to see,

a beaten pit bull looking up at me.

She had been fought, and lost my guess,

Thrown away like all the rest.

In her eyes, I saw a love so deep,

a deep hardened anger into my soul did creep.

I put the anger aside, and bent down to hold,

this beautiful creature, so lonely and cold.

I knew she was dying, she knew it too,

and she would die in my arms, me saying I love you.

We sat for awhile, looking into each other's eyes,

and no one could hear our sad, sad cries.

With her last little strength, she licked my face,

and then went away with a beautiful grace.

I walked away a different soul,

Anger and hatred would take their toll.

I was so lost in anger and grief,

my life was being stolen, by an invisible thief.

I looked for a purpose, and soon I did see,

I had to fight, for a pit bulls right to be.

Pit bulls are loyal, loving, honest, and true,

and sweet pit bulls, I'll always be fighting for you .

Our beautiful baby girl reunited with Brax once again.

We will never let your memories die as they are locked in our hearts forever.

Love you forever Tyra.

To Chrissie, Max, Aaron, Chris and kiddies....my heart goes out to you all *bighug*

Was an honor to know such a dog and to have to her take her final sleep in my arms, and to be with her at the end was also an absolute honor....I'll never forget it

I am so sorry for your loss, but she is in a good place with her old friend Brax and there they will wait for you.

Rip Tyra you darling.

This is for you.

I was standing on a hillside in a field of flowing wheat

And the spirit of a pitty was lying at my feet

He looked at me with kind dark eyes ancient wisdom shining through

And in the essance of his being his love shone clear and through

His mind did lock upon my heart as I stood there that day

And he told me of this story of a place so far away

His tale did put my heart at ease my fears did fade away

About what lay ahead of me on a distant day

I live among gods creatures now in the heavens of your mind

So do not grieve for me my friend as I am with my kind

My collar is a rainbow hue my leash a shooting star

My boundries are the milky way where I sparkle from afar

There are no pens or kennels here and I am not confined

But free to roam gods heaven's among my own kind

I nap the day on a snowy cloud gentle breezes rocking me

And dream dreams of earth and how it used to be

The trees are full of liver treats and tennis balls abound

And milk bones line the walkways just waiting to be found

I drink from waters laced with gold my world a beauty to behold

And wise old dogs do form my pride to amble at my side

At night I sleep in angels arms her wings protecting me

And moonbeams dance about us as stardust falls on thee

So when your life on earth is spent and you stand at heavens gate

Have no fear of lonliness for here you know I wait.

My darling companion, I loved you with a full heart,

And watching you suffer , my special friend tore my soul apart,

Many times you comforted me,

And the tears I shed for you now would never fill the sea,

But an ocean is not as deep as the love I shall always carry for you,

I remember the precious times we had so very many together my wonderful Canine,

Our hearts and love are forever entwined,

I gave my heart to you, and with your fierce loyalty, you protected and saved me

from unwanted foe,

But I knew from the land of living sweetone, I knew you had to go.....

You deserved your dignity in your goodbye,

I saw the love in your eyes before your spirit set fly,

We shall meet again,

But never the less I have to endure the pain....

I always loved a Rainbow, How special they seem to be,

I know that you are waiting for me

Where once again we can be forever free.
