Animal Eye Care will be doing a series of clinics in Regional Victoria, Southern NSW and Tasmania.

We hope to assist people in getting ACES certification by providing a handy and more affordable service.

We need to know where people need this service the most and a rough idea of numbers to make this viable.

I asked a similar question on here late last year and got a good response for Wagga, and we plan to travel there very soon (exact date TBA, but it will be at Charles Sturt University).

If you pick "Other", please let me know where.

Thank you!

N.

AEC's "opposition" do hold reasonably regular clinics here at one particular veterinary practice in Hobart but they are quite expensive compared to what I have been told AEC charges for the same service.

At least it will give us some options anyway.

It sux majorly not having our own veterinary opthalmologist here in Tasmania permanently.

We will be charging $80 per dog plus $10 per ACES form.

So if you have one adult dog, the charge will be $90.

If you have a litter of 5 pups, the charge will be 5 x $80 plus $10 = $410

We are hoping to help pedigree dog breeders continue the hard work they have been putting in for many years to eradicate hereditary eye diseases.

Excuse my ignorance, but will this just be for certificates or will they be doing other things as well?

Hi Laeral

We will be seeing eye cases as well. ie, if your dog* has an eye problem you are concerned about, we would be more than happy to have a look.

*or cat or horse or cow or frog or cocky or rhino or fur seal or koala or snake or...

Ooh in that case I would LOVE you to come up to Mansfield :D .

But seeing as how I am probably going to be the only one here wanting to see a specialist, :) I would love Wangarrata, but would go to Albury if you go there.

Do you have any idea when are you thinking of?
