For the past six years our little boy maltese has slept every night in the crook of my husband’s arms (I don't get a look in). Does he do so because he adores OH and wants to be near him, or is it because he simply feels safe? I’d like to think the former, but I fear you’re going to tell me the latter…and if so..does anyone really know what motivates a dog's actions? Orbit sleeps under the blankets with me in winter and snuggles in to me - I'd love to believe it was because he loves me, but I'm sure he's just using me for my body warmth! We moved into a house almost a year ago (previously in an apartment that kept a very even temperature). And during summer Timmy ditched us for the couch! On the night he had some bacj teeth out he laid in the crook of my arm like a baby all night. Tamar, bless her little heart, loves to sleep on my pillow around my head and many years ago, I had another little female Maltese who did the same.
