Maybe Chris Brown has been taking note of messages left on the channel ten forums.

He just appeared on The 7pm Project talking about parvo. He brought in a young pup which was from RESCUE but had already found a home AND he said you should be aware of where your puppy comes from, not a puppy farm but from a reputable source to ensure it was vaccinated and healthy :)

I just saw this. And full marks to him for doing that. The little rescue pup, Penny, was from Animal Aid. She was a darling & so confident getting cuddles from all the panel. And looking out at the camera operators, with curiosity & not the slightest sign of anxiety. She was a great example of a puppy from an ethical rescue source....shining with good health & socialisation.

It was great to hear him refer to puppy farms & how they didn't attend to puppies' health.

He has also said on the 7pm project that female dogs DON'T need to have one litter to settle down/grow up/etc - and from memory when a female presenter said 'oh but the puppies are so cute!' said something along the lines of 'yes they are but...' and said about rescue pups and reputable breeders etc. Can't remember the exact go...but was very happy that he put the presenter in her place since she was all go about at least giving each bitch a litter because her dog was so cute so the puppies would be or some crap.

ETA - I'll still vote for Dr Chris - he's much better then another vet i could name who passed up presenting at a expo encouraging responsible pet ownership etc to open a new PP store!

He tried to redeem himself on the 7PM project tonight by making a point that the puppy he was holding was from a rescue.

Still bloody disgusting IMO as a vet he would see first hand the work of puppy farmers.

When was/is the episode they have been advertising with the young dog needing a c-section on?

Will be interesting to hear his thoughts on that one.

I could count at least three vets i know of breeding and supplying mix bred, high produced numbers of cats and dogs for profit, and they sell with the comment of 'bred by vet' or 'store run by vet' etc. Yes they aren't on TV - but people think they are getting a well bred, perfect pup/kitten because it was bred by a vet.

Yes I saw that too and I thought good on him. Hopefully he read The Circle posts and has become more conscious of the influence he wields :(

Anyone noticed how his vet co-star on the show has a TV Advertisement with a major pet food company and her dog is an Oodle?

yep, all those celebrity vets have some kind of deal going on. Dr. Harry sells loans to pensioners in Tasmania
