I haven't even gotten my dog yet but I've been showing pictures of its breed to coworkers who wouldn't have a clue about the breed if I told them what it was called (so I show them instead) and I got the stupidest comment--"Oh, they're Miniature Alsatians!"

What?? WHAAAAAT?

I got told by the owner of a dog which was a mix of working breeds that breeders specifically crossed them to produce a dog that was better with children :)

ETA: That's very sad actually.....some unscrupulous BYBer took advantage od a very nice (but naiive) man who wanted a safe dog for his children.

How do I find these moles? :cheer:

dont tell me you haven't got a pure staffy?

Hopefully they're not rejects. You should find 2 on either side of the face and one under the jaw, if not, complain to your dogs breeder.

I found them, they don't stick out but they do have hair growing out of them :cheer: Maybe mine is a staffy x!

Well, you know, Staffies are very special! My hairdresser (a new one I hadn't been to before) and I were comparing notes on her new staffie pup and my daughter's old chap and what nice dogs they were, etc., etc. when we got on to the the subject of how they 'talk' alot of the time.

She got very excited and told me that Staffies talk because they are the ONLY breed of dog that has tonsils - her pup's breeder told her so - so they're very special dogs indeed

I wonder if it's the same breeder.

I can only find three moles, one on each side of the face and one under the chin. So unless we count the eyebrows, only got three moles.

I got told that someone's spotty cross dog was boxer x because it "boxed" ie used its paws to wrestle when playing. Except my dog does that too, in fact these two dogs looked very similar and mine looks and acts ACDx. No sign of boxer.

And I've been told that because mine has that groove along the top of the skull between her ears and because she does frog legs - she must be part staffy or pitbull or amstaff etc. I don't think so. Doesn't act very staffy. My brother has a pedigree staffy - I haven't counted her moles.

My dog does have a "Bentley Mark" on her head.

Isaak doesn't have any moles and he spends a lot of time in the fishpond, so I have my doubts as to whether he's even a dog let alone an Australian Shepherd....I think he might really be a rare breed of carp.

sometimes the 2nd mole on either side of the face isn't as obvious but it's probably there. If in fact he really does only have 3 send him back, he's a reject. :cheer:
