Miranda, try running big dogs on it....or running on it if its wet :mad

I agree can be a bit of dicey at times.

I find the rings not being big enough more of a PITA.

AND why do many Stewards not move the table out of the way when the Big breeds come in?

It makes our running space even smaller.

Well we did have a bigger ring last week didn't we Sway

maybe or if we are lucky it has been resurfaced.....I hate seeing dogs back legs go out from under them in there. Now have small dogs so not so much of an issue for me.

good luck to everyone

Buy some resin grip(ten pin bowling place, gym centre etc etc) I use it here when undercover because my old boy had great issues running on the surface especially if a small ring.

All the dogs get it on there feet & no dramas at all

We had a lovely day yesterday. The group 5 judge was a very nice man, a real gentleman who seemed to thoroughly enjoy his time with each dog. Love it when the judges obviously love the job they're doing.

Just curious - did anyone hear why it was held at the Park and not at Darnum?

I didn't hear anything but I'll guess that it was because this show was the opening show for the terrier specialty weekend, with the terrier futurity sweepstakes as a highlight.

Yep, it was held at KCC to be in line with the Terrier shows. It was also moved earlier in the year because there were not enough committee members to set up the grounds at Darnum, where at the Park, it is set up for them.

As a foundation member of that club which began at the Warragul Showgrounds and who many times set up the grounds alone it's disappointing to see another club disintergrating. There were four very healthy shows being run there during March each year. Some decided to move to Darnum and there's only two shows now, I think, and this one apparently gone to the Park. Oh well, the country people will all have to go to Melbourne soon if they want to show.
