im happy with that. Are we bringing food as well? will have to make my jelly slice. Would love to have a swim with your girls RS. Do they swim just for the fun of it or do you have to throw a ball out? monte will only get in the water if i chuck the ball out and ever then he will only wade not swim.

Food might not be a wise idea with all that sand and water around? Just a thought laugh.gif But I remember your jelly slice and it was yum, so feel free to bring some rofl1.gif

Ruby goes for a swim for the fun of it, but doesn't go far out unless she has a reason to. That being either something thrown for her, or a human out in the water calling her over. So I'm sure she will go swimming with you if you want! Millie isn't a fan of water but will now go out to fetch her kong wubba or if I wade out and call her out she is sometimes enticed laugh.gif

Some of my photos from Kwinana Beach

Are you bringing your guys?

At this point in time, 8.30am Sunday the 8th works for me. Maybe even 8 am - gasp gasp I am suggesting an earlier time

Who are you and what have you done with RubyStar????

Wasn't Cockburn beach was it? Apparently that one has bleak grey sand, I've never been there though just saw it on the Good Dog site once

Hmmm, possibly! To be honest, I've only been there once or twice and wasn't sure myself what it was technically called or what part I went to! Maybe I will meet you at your place and follow behind you as you're on the way anyway :p

Did you go to the 'seaweed beach' further south towards Waikiki? There is a big variation in the quality of beaches, with Rockingham foreshore and safety bay being very narrow beaches, but there are much nicer ones in the area :) I haven't been to Kwinana beach myself yet, but I might check it out next week (wooo holidays!)

(E: quality also varies considerably depending on the time of year)

yes, and time of day.

Absolutely, both the beaches and the people are much nicer in the morning! The few times I have been in the evening it has been much windier and I've had a couple of (minor) items stolen. And yet I've left thongs, leads, etc. at the end of the beach hundreds of times in the morning and they were safe every single time.

This is a video of one of the dog beaches just south of Garden Island (about 5-10 mins drive from Kwinana beach) taken last summer - sorry about the shaky camera!

If I lived closer to Hillary's I would have. But I took the girls to the local lake yesterday for some training and they got covered in lake goo, so they had a bath last night ready for Christmas, they smell good enough to :eat: So I want them to stay sweet smelling a little longer :D

 I did the poll, even though I wont be attending.........I just like doing polls!

Travelling to Perth in the hot Summer is something I only do if I have to, and generally do it without the dogsters!

I hope you guys have a fantabulous time at the beach with all your gorgeous dogsters - I am a bit jealous :o

Kwinana Freeway -> Right on Thomas Rd -> Left on Rockingham Rd -> Right on Kwinana Beach Rd should do it :) There's a car park just behind Wells Park on KB Rd.

Edit - I think anyway :o I'm just going by google earth...
