A Question About Van

I'm thinking about trying it out for a while but it will take a bit more organising. If it is better for the dogs though it would be worth it, although I think my dogs are all pretty healthy now, it's just that I cook for them, and I know that's not natural.

The VAN website says 24 hours is recommended, if you have forgotten you can use hot water and it will do it in a hour I think?

But yes it needs to be left the 24hours if doing it at room temperature.

I personally don't like using the hot water as I wonder if it affects the mineral, vitamens etc

I think the 24 hours soaking period is required for the grains to start germinating. This process shouldn't be expedited IMO

Yes, the 24 hrs is ideal, unless its the middle of summer then 12 hours is usually adequate. Fermentation happens much quicker in a warmer environment.

The hot water is not recommended for every feed, but if you do sometimes forget to prepare the complete mix then soaking in warm water for an hour will get you by.
