Help me identify my staffy

At aqe 6 months he is far too big to be a staffy (Staffordshire Bull Terrier). Whether he will get the full size of an Amstaff (American Staffordshire Terrier) remains to be seen. Crosses of these two breeds in various proportions are quite common in Australia, and I suspect this is the most likely.

I think he’s a cute little mystery mutt like mine! As gillybob said, it doesn’t really matter, he’s cute nonetheless. :)

My Monty is similar, he’s fully grown, and looks like a petite amstaff. He’s only 22kg whereas purebred amstaffs should be a fair bit bigger.

Agreed, he's a cutie.

The mix and it's unknown-ness could matter if your Council is crazy on BSL.  If he could pass as an AmStaff cross, you could have a hard time proving he's not a pit bull cross.  Good training and excellent fencing are worth the investment, especially in some locations.  It isn't uncommon for dogs to get a bit stroppy when they hit adolescence.
