As part of my involvement with Animal Care Australia, I regularly assist in our submissions relating to animal welfare policies and legislation Australia-wide.

Currently looking at the draft Domestic Animal Management Plan (DAMP) for Wellington Shire Council in Victoria - https://your.wellington.vic.gov.au/domestic-animal-management-plan-review - and came across this interesting tidbit...

Heads up to any of our breeder members here who might be targeted for council visits (or worse) if you live in that shire and advertise any of your pups on this site.

Curious to find out how many dogs share your pet’s name, breed, or suburb?

Sure thing, you can have some personal information.
I'm curious to know your credit card number.  We'll swap.

Im hoping this will mean that we can "weed out" the very people who do so much damage to the Breeds by "Backyard Breeding" they are usually the ones who advertise on FB and MP as "Pure Bred" puppies but sell them cheaper "without papers" they have no interest in the Welfare of the dog it's all about the money, l have worked in Rescue for many years and constantly see the end result of pups that are sold on these websites only to go onto be "mothers" as soon as they go on heat.  If people breed responsibly then this could only be a good thing for all breeds and the Breeders who are Registered, Responsible and who do the right thing
