  1. A recommendation for anyone attending the Pet Expo. Many years ago at one of these, I bought a can of Bright's Natural Bees Wax. I bought another at last year's Gardening Show and if they are there this weekend, I will be buying another. It is a fantastic conditioner and healing balm. Disclaimer   I haven't any financial interest; just think it is a great product and worth having in the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen bench, garage.
  2. LOL, she knows we are talking about her. I looked down at her lying in a basket and she has her head resting on the edge with her big round eyes turned up staring at me. Sorry K - OT   Blame T.
  3. I can understand that, K, but you have to be strong for Neko. People are always wanting to pay Tamar who, even at 10+, still looks like a puppy. She is very timid and when people come up to me (mainly because I am walking at minimum 3 dogs mostly 5 :D :D ) wanting pats, I tell them to stay away from Tamar because she is timid. Given time and when she sees the others getting pats, she often approaches people. Neko and you have a wonderful life together with all the other dogs - if one part of her isn't working in some way or other, frankly, does it matter? :) :) :)
  4. I would imagine the woman is the pack leader ... as it should be :D
  5. Poor little dog - not very happy wherever he may be. I wonder how much that gear weighs?
  6. I did wonder about that. I loved the way they both came running together.
  7. She'll probably cope better than you   . I'm sure you will get very detailed instructions from your vet and there are many DOLers who have been through surgery with there animals who will pop in with excellent ideas. Good luck. Your girl sounds awesome.
  8. Reba's and your puppies are beautiful, SLF. Non breeders cannot post on the Breeders Forum and rightly so. However, many of us follow with interest and awe and hope the stories you all tell us. Those two weeks after Reba was bitten by the snake must have seemed an eternity of agonised waiting for you. Just waiting overnight for results on tests for those we love can be bad enough. You are doing an amazing job; I wish I wasn't so far away ---- although I might be more of a hindrance than a help :D . More strength to you and Reba.
  9. I find it quite upsetting that he would say that, especially the "fat chance" part. It's always good to get other quotes and do a bit of shopping, but if that's what it costs, I would not hesitate if I thought my dog was in pain or her health was in jeopardy. Some people shouldn't own dogs. Oh god, that poor dog. I know it is a huge amount of money, but how can you leave an animal in that situation.
  10. I haven't looked at this thread for a few days (I'm chicken :D ), I've been so worried, but decided to be brave and what do I see. Great news. You go Astro - mummy and your family need you. Great news, Rascal. Hopefully it is all up and up from now on. What a little fighter your beautiful boy is.
  11. Makes me feel sick to think of the despair at losing pets like that. I hope Millie turns up somewhere. Totally OT, but the woman's incredibly blue eyes !! So beautiful.
  12. It would be nice to think so, but that can be far from the case as I know from first hand experience with people in my neighbourhood. Yes, definitely say something, please. The dog will be or soon will be suffering, if not pain, a deal of discomfort.
  13. Even a winner needs cheering and support And SLF and Reba still need plenty: SLF posting today: "They were so weak yesterday and found it so tiring to suckle. Hopefully today is a better day. " I wish I could physically help. Any DOLers in SLF's area who could provide some assistance?
  14. Keep those healing and support vibes flowing everyone. Reba, SLF and puppies are doing it tough
  15. That's just devastating news . Poor Laura. You have captured such precious memories.
  16. There's a lawyer on DOL, JRT. Eschalter or something like that. Ed: eschlacter
  17. Best wishes for a fabulously successful show and for a steep increase in adoption rates
  18. She's def a nut case and just can't see how she is doing so badly by her dogs. Poor dogs. I agree with all this. I feel sorry for the dogs, not her because she has a choice, but they don't.
  19. The girl can leave Queenieland, but Queenieland never leaves the girl
  20. Thanks for doing this, kelpiecuddles. I think the positives have far outweighed the "forum police" in the first few threads.
  21. Is there no end to this young lady's talents. Ninja Nurse Neko now. So relieved to read that Feather seems to be over the worst. The prospect of movies and nana naps sounds very appealing - perfect for convalescing.
