  1. Sadly while we have owners like this one, we will continue to have to restrict areas where dogs are allowed :( :mad
  2. Thinking of you and Amber. You must be at vets this moment so answer soon. Hopefully whatever is the problem will be easily sorted and managed.
  3. All doggies and doggie owners should be so lucky to have breeders who put in the work and study and knowledge that you do, Starkehre.
  4. Your stories of “Life with [a] Secret” leave me with a trembling heart. Wanting to rush down there like those other ladies.
  5. He sure had presence, WM. A great little dog. Strange how they can look so good, yet inside they are close to the end. I have a photo of my first little dog, who was just a couple of weeks away from succumbing to his cancer. It is a beautiful photograph and I am so glad I have it. Before I had a digital, sadly, otherwise I would have so many more.

  7. There is a thread in General on Pet Insurance. I’ll find it and link.
  8. Check out https://www.petrescue.com.au Thousands of dogs there and plenty would fit your criteria.
  9. Reporting you to the Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Umbrellas. Shame on you, Stark.
  10. I have no doubt about that. It is bad enough just looking at photographs. I think if I saw her in the flesh, I’d be camping in your back yard. Love the coat - bows are too gorgeous
  11. My first thoughts too. Exquisite. Lots of fun and love for many years. Congratulations.
  12. WOW!! Congratulations. :champagne:
  13. Is that beautiful girl your daughter? No, I don't have any children. That is Ebony. she is gorgeous isn't she and also an incredible girl. she is one of my puppy people. Not long in the dog world, but trains her current whippet daily and is now instructing at her club. We've become quite close friends over the past almost 12 months, she's even been away showing with me. I have enjoyed including her in much of the whole breeding/puppy process and she appreciates it very much. Having someone around like Ebony is such a bonus. To be able to share just increases the enjoyment. The pix of the puppies in the little red trolley is exquisite.
  14. I don’t know first hand, but what I have read about Paris in particular, the mess on the streets is horrendous. That said, personal responsibility seems to go out that window where dogs are concerned. Most people wouldn’t even understand the term, let alone know how to employ. Agree that these are real problems for most dogs. Couple of houses around me have dogs who bark and bark and bark. One is taken walking everyday. BUT - that it is. The dog is walked while the person walks steadfastly looking ahead, earphones in and has absolutely no interaction with the dog at all. The breed? Kelpie. Poor little dog - I feel so sorry for her. I imagine that dog would be a nightmare if taken into a populated area through absolutely no fault of her own.
  15. reminds me of a roo :) Tiny ittle, itsy, snuggly, dainty Kangaroo. Typo...... I meant Joey - silly me.
  16. LOL. She looks like a jokey in the pic watching the chickens. Edited: Joey not jokey.
  17. What a gorgeous face. Deepest condolences, NewAge. Run free and wild, Ziggy
  18. I recall a photo of NDN standing on the couch trying to make friends with a picture of (I think) her mum?? Secret sounds delightful and if you do all you plan with her, she should stay with you and HER mum.
  19. No, it is private and they got back to me, so good luck if you give it a go.
  20. Because the name looked familiar to me, I searched for them on my FB page. They don’t seem to be a closed group as I clicked on the underlined and coloured words that said “Very responsive to questions” and sent a message that way. It seemed to go through, so maybe try that.
  21. Whoops - not reading post properly.
  22. Well, I did say earlier that I hoped the commercial stations would pick this up (simply because they have a wider audience), but, true to form, they are just giving short bursts and totally avoiding the salient/vital points. :mad
  23. I went downstairs to bring in the bins. Jeune and Tamar barking and sniffing so went to investigate. A dead rat. Tamar ran away, but Jeune continued to investigate. On with the gloves and I picked the rat up to take him down to the compost heap. He was still in a state of rigor mortis, so not dead for all that long. In fact, I’d been in the backyard a few times today and he certainly wasn’t there - impossible to miss . I turned him over a few times as I was curious to see if he had any injuries which could explain his death because he looked plump, shiny fur, etc etc. I suddenly hit me: POISON!! Had he crawled into my place and finally died here? I have never seen a rat in all the years I’ve lived here (used to see quite a few when I lived in Dulwich Hill) and even if I had, I wouldn’t be putting out the traps or poison. Several houses have changed hands in the past few months and my fear is that new people are putting out poisons. I hope not as we are surrounded by the Lane Cove National Park.
  24. It was good to see this and being reported unemotionally and setting out clearly the problems that can result for poor breeding practices. I hope the commercial stations pick it up.
