  1. There is SOS out at Londonderry. There is also Rescue Resource at Dural run by a woman who distributes to shelters all around the place. Deb Williams 0414 960 103
  2. This is happening where I live - obviously a big dog and it isn’t every day. I guess it is either a dog who is walked infrequently, or a dog who gets walked in different areas. What upsets me most is that all dog owners get a bad name. I feel particularly sorry for people who don’t have dogs and have to face, sometimes enormous, droppings on their footpaths. I quite often pick them up, actually. Yukkety yukk. :D
  3. Oh, he is just beautiful. What a lovely soft, soulful expression - I’ll bet he had you both well and truly wrapped around his precious paw. Yes, it is very very hard.
  4. Always remember the photograph of your mum’s (I think?) hands, persephone.
  5. What an achievement! But do you know what I love about this? You love your mum so much that you post a well deserved brag about her on the forum. Makes me have a little
  6. Deepest condolences, Rajah11. I am sure there are many of us who would love to see a photograph of your boy. Run free, Rajah. :
  7. Oh WOW!! What a gorgeous Moosey . Happy happy Gotcha Day and may you have many many cuddles for many many years.
  8. Beautiful as always and gorgeous collars and leads. Love the second pic down. Jesse seems to be saying: oh god, Jonah, he is taking more photos of us.
  9. That's the point, K. The farmer was having a bit of fun - it is a cute story. : : I think my dogs should qualify as working dogs, too. They work hard at lazing around the house
  10. LOL - I have enough dogs bedding to start a shelter.
  11. Yes, it is strange isn’t it. Because I rescued a few elderlies with lots of needs at one stage, when they went to god, the space left in my days was confusing. I’d find myself in the kitchen turning in circles thinking there must be something that needs done, only to realise that a little dog was not longer there. I think if you could get into their heads you would find that they do - not just for special diets and medications.
  12. Poor thing. I hope they find him before too long and either put him out of his misery or are able to treat him. Terrifying for those he attacked.
  13. No no no no - I am not going to click on that naughty naught link. :scold:
  14. He is on FB. Love him and his mum so much. I follow Canetoad on FB, Stan the man allows Maddie to appear on his FB page from time to time, and Gruf has the best mum, too. We owe a lot to the camera skills of the humans LOL. There have been so many over the years.
  15. I think that this is the very best a loving owner can do. Hugs to you and Anna and may she surprise you all.
  16. If ever you feel Anna would be able to make the trip, you and she are always welcome at a moment's notice. Thoughts with you.
  17. Wow! So handsome and impressive. Great nature by the sounds of it, too.
  18. I have a proposition. This might sound a bit extreme, but what are the chances of bringing Anna to Sydney and having some specialists look at her, take bloods, etc etc? Alternatively, would your vet be agreeable to sending laboratory results of Anna’s bloods and other to specialists? It is a long time since a conversation I had with a vet about Cushings so things may have changed, but at the time he said that Cushings was very hard to diagnose because the symptoms could be the same as for any number of other things. If you felt you could make the trip to Sydney, I would bet my last dollar there would be any number of DOLer ready and willing to accommodate you and Anna :) :) - me for one. Give it some thought. :flower:
  19. Just about the hardest thing in the world to see. Deepest Sympathies and biggest hugs for you and Anna.
  20. Godfather aint too bad either :lollipop:
  21. Oh WM - such beautiful beautiful photographs and memories. So precious.
  22. It IS wonderful to know that the ashes you are getting are really Mac’s. When my first little dog died, I had no idea of the process and I know now (well I’ve known for many year) that I don’t have her ashes. Calypso weighed 2kgs when she died and the cremation place sent back enough ashes for about two German Shepherds. :mad
