  1. he is certainly different LOL @tdierikx @gillybob I sometimes wish I'd carry a video camera ready . The other evening , Pudden took off after prey ..spotted moving fast along the track . Prey was kind of rabbit size ..and he was racing ! he was SO disappointed when he finally caught it ..the little 'roly poly' prickle bush disintegrated ..and he looked from side to side with such a look!! :D
  2. probiotics are best given after Ab's ..as other wise the AB's kill them There are dog ones ..but I just use human ones
  3. roo is low fat , yes. it is also a pretty rich food . With the pred, and A/B's .. her system could well be wonky. After the Christmas break ..why not write a list of every symptom stop & look at it ..see if there are things which tie together ... And yes, if possible, find another vet ..
  4. Not what you needed to hear . if she is still happy etc .. and IF SHE WERE MINE ... I'd be dosing her with probiotics , using a muzzle when walking to limit the garbage eaten , and feeding low fat raw , with cooked carrot/pumpkin ... and a snack in the middle of the day to mop up that bile /acid . if that didn;t work fairly smartly ... then plan XYZ would be on the table ... you might want a faecal sample tested for giardia, and other nasties ...
  5. I end up with a Steamed Pudden' ! LOL
  6. Awwww.. I think I drooled on the keyboard.....you have the best Christmas gift Love seeing bub cosy in things made with love .... Thankyou for sharing
  7. Oh ... @SamanthaC Why not feed her kibble from a treat dispenser ? That way she can be in a room , or outdoors , away from the others in the household ..having fun, and getting fed at a much better rate ! A couple of examples . AussieDog aren't cheap, but last forever https://aussiedog.com.au/product/tucker-ball-medium/ https://www.mypetwarehouse.com.au/all-for-paws-interactive-food-maze-dog-toy-p-25910 https://www.mypetwarehouse.com.au/kong-wobbler-large-p-12391
  8. @Shara1 Welcome These posts are primarily for information ... Your query would get more traffic if you post in General Dog Discussion ... start a new topic with a question , and see how that goes.
  9. I am left wondering why the dog walker didn't phone the police or firies to attempt a rescue ? I do feel for the walker - she has had a very strong learning experience . Daresay the cruise experience won't be as enjoyable ...wonder if she still went ? it's horrible all round ..and the man who got teh body out of the car ... would not have been at all pleasant
  10. The FB business page has been removed- obviously . I doubt she'lll get much more work for a while .... *shakes head* Thank Heaven it was a dog & not a sleeping baby
  11. I wondered ..but think the 'boot' is the rear hatch ..as apparently there was mesh between there are the seats ... ?
  12. Oh my The poor ,poor dog . Dog walker accidentally left a client's dog in her locked car ..and apparently went on a cruise ? https://www.9news.com.au/national/2017/12/14/13/57/dog-owner-finds-beloved-pooch-dead-in-boot-of-locked-car?ocid=Social-9News
  13. probably phone a vet ... hope all goes well.l
  14. Ha, ha, ha ..she has trained you already!! She HAS to learn that things like roast chicken are for a BIG reward ..and it seems she has trained you to feed her this for just breathing ;) of course she'll eat "mcdonalds" instead of 'broccoli' - but she NEEDS to eat her "broccoli" The breeder should have provided you with feeding information Just follow that ..and then gradually introduce her to a brand of puppy food which suits you . Chicken necks are fine ..just remember to use LARGE ones ..or feed them frozen . Pups can choke on a whole chicken neck , cos they're about the same shape as a dog's throat .. and can get stuck if swallowed fast All that said - did the vet give her the 'all clear' at her "Hi - I'm this family's new puppy - just need everything checked please" visit ? if so ..and she is up-to date with vaccs & worming ..then be a bit tough , and stop HER running the kitchen ;)
  15. Pudden .. always eats like this ..on his sun bed
  16. yes! Woolies chicken pieces are not too bad ..esp if there is only one small dog!
  17. You won't need to add any veges . there will be enough in the patties - they are made as a complete meal, after all ..and dogs are predominantely meat eaters ;) I am reeling from that butcher pricing!! The other day I bought 2 bags ( plastic shopping bags ) absolutely full of lamb offcuts ..mainly 1/2 necks, and lots of lovely flap squares ..plus quite a few pelvis/hip bones ! In each bag were about 7 meals for a koolie type dog . 2 bags = $10.00 :D
