  4. Hmmm- a 4 mth old pup pulling like a freight train . YES, YES, Yes!! the longer a dog has a habit, the harder it is to teach something else ;) Buying harnesses because of pulling .. IMO helping pup to walk calmly would be a better investment . Some good resources for you to enjoy and ... Like this
  5. It sounds as if you have not yet had any sessions with a one-on-one trainer ? There are things I would do to baby pups, but definitely not to a 7 mth old one . You and pup NEED a personal trainer . One thing I can suggest ( OFF LABEL use .. use at own risk ) is to apply vicks vapor rub to yr hands /fingers ....but really, to do this properly . to LEARN why the pup is doing this ..you do need to book a trainer's time
  6. CATCH has dog pushers/strollers/bike trailers https://www.catch.com.au/search?query=dog&sort=0&selected_first=1&department[]=PETS+>+DOG Also weatherbeeta coats , dog crates/beds grooming tools , and toys .
  7. huh??? How so ? Photos of gundogs working are wonderful to see ! message me some , if you don't feel you can post
  8. Hi I do not use harnesses .. but it seems the fitting of this one may be wrong? Does the pup pull a lot? is that why you use a harness?
  9. ..and they are two very cute adults!! LOVE their fuzzy faces .

  16. Hi You girl is possibly just sticking close as she feels a bit off . The cone can be very off putting as well . It is a very restrictive thing .. Is she eating OK ? Did she get pain relief ? All dogs are different - some are more stoic- some are more sensitive ... have you tried the commands without cone ? Just try & keep things normal .. her routine has changed ....you left her at a place where she obviously had some odd things done ... and she will certainly feel the stitches - maybe pulling a bit , so she does have reasons to be clingy, I think. yes- I've known bitches be speyed - and once the anaesthetic wears off , they are raring to go .... and I've known them to want to be waited on hand & foot!
  17. Use words you are happy to use anywhere, and words which just have one meaning I use Gimme Yuck Lie Down. Gimme I teach by replacing their treasure with a treat - a special treat!
  18. That's frustrating, isn't it ? What have been the results of his faecal tests and blood tests over the years? What vet treatment has he had ? have you contacted his breeder to see if any others have this problem? has he always lived in the same house/yard? There are so many reasons why this may happen - a lot of 'detective' work needs doing
  19. Ok > Fred and his flyaway collar One of The Boss's workers .
  20. @Scottsmum wow. is that near you ? PS : is it very wrong to imagine Wal & The Dog sliding down the hills in the mud whenever I see images like this ? ;) @Canisbellum I so love that photo .... <3
