  3. Is that it, Willem ? Our working sheep/goat dogs are all entire .. and the bitches work with just as much concentration/skill when they are in season . All it usually means here is that it's a girls' day out ..boys stay home - though the older boy can be easily voice controlled if needs be...
  4. as stated - W A is strict on what enters the state- what is the go with dogs? Not to live ..just for a short period of time . Do they need anything special, or certificates or anything? Thanks.
  5. ;) she is enjoying this time - the 'pack' is just us two ( and tallie , & mary ) and she's getting lots more outings in the car ..toast crusts .....

  7. The hair on fresh paint idea is a good'un!! :) :)
  8. LOL - she needs a separate roofed enclosure ..and a JOB !! bet she enjoys all the new escape puzzles her dad makes ....
  9. I know folks who take roo tails to eat ... a fairly safe area parasite/ contamination wise because of the nature of the tissue& & tight skin seal .Unless cut, there is no way any gut contents/ external contaminants or insects can access it.
  10. hello henry ! glad you're keeping the new owner in shape , and sorting out your exercise regime by using the chooks ! well, exercise is good, but chooks - well, you'll get feathers up yr nose, and poo on yr paws ...not pleasant . You will have a wonderful life , learn new things, and be loved . :)
  11. that would be illegal pro shooters supplying meat need pretty much the same hygiene procedures as meat for human consumption from memory .yuk.
  12. I don't use it , as for many years we were involved in the 'harvesting' of macropods for human consumption ..and I kinda lost any enthusiasm for playing around with smelly carcasses .....it's also why I never eat roo meat
  13. Sounds OK for a dog you know ..however with this description : no way would I be trying that technique
  14. That is really an unenviable work situation, and I hope the dog can be contained somehow

  16. & that's the way it is usually ... LOL
  17. Is Don,is BUSY (digging out a rabbit hole ) No we didn't find a rabbit . cameo appearances by Pudden, Ash & Molly ..
  18. I am glad you made the right decision for your poor old boy ...
  19. Thanks for the update, and I hope the effects start to show very soon :)
  20. The limping is possibly a patella issue ..the organised eating is fine ... I have a dog that does a very similar thing - but the head shaking is worthy of some more attention
  21. There are certainly more reasons for head shaking than an ear problem -- if he were mine I would definitely be getting more tests done or seeing another vet . It really isn't comfortable for him, and would also be causing some pain ... Seems he needs relief NOW , and if money is a big problem , and you cannot afford tests/medication ,you may need to talk about other options ..
