it is ! we had visitors over the weekend - this adorably beautiful baby was so well cared for by his Dad when needed ... they were just lovely together :) 'dad' also was OK with me doing the photos & sharing them . It's a rare opportunity , so I indulged! :) and ...

I would also suggest there is 'someone' else who visits your house every so often :) Babies can sense them - we recently had visitors who reported their baby 'playing with someone' in the night - arms outstretched , giggling as if he were being tickled ..and 'chatting" away ...

aside from the good and practical advice posted - perhaps the family could foster something for a while as a trial? .... Mum who isn't comfortable with dogs at all & 3 kids , & livestock, rural fencing & a new and active puppy = misgivings & heartache

Thank you for updating :) Remember , too ..to treat leaving/coming home as absolutely BORING and ordinary. .NO 'I have to go, snookums, be a good baby *pat/hug/kiss*..oh,. snookums, poor snookums, *cuddle* ' same when you return .. just walk over to pen ..open gate/put pup outside to toilet ..no talking ... then after a few minutes..carry on as normal :) This does help , really ! We have a puppy here - admittedly he is nowhere near bereft of company (canine) but he now barely opens both eyes when we leave or return ... it's no big deal - nothing special ...

..and we now need pics of 3 happy hounds!! Well done , now enjoy!!

aaah yes :) LOL. Our dogs get whatever is available - mostly fresh - home killed- prey-type food . When we don't do that they get dry food . House dogs get odd scraps , old dogs get added stuff like eggs/cheese/ yoghurt & some canned muck ...The only supplements used are things like ironcyclen for times of illness/hard work ..and extra oil/vitamins for oldies.

he is perhaps now adult, and 'marking' his posessions/territory with faces/anal gland scent ? OR he may be looking for somewhere that reminds him of grass? Does he have an area indoors/on balcony where he can toilet if he needs to? He needs one ,if not . Go back to basics - and I strongly suggest you do N I L I F with him .. this will be a good thing to give him some brainwork ..and re establish boundaries :) if you are home - have him on a leash /onfined to one room , maybe?

being that cats & dogs communicate very differently ..a pup growing up with mainly cat company would NOT learn much dog body language/communication :) Dogs & Cats can be good friends though :)

Ok .. a 'real' portrait :) he is so fluffy still! Today he learned about a comb ,and how it gets prickles out ;) he wasn't really impressed . His tail is fluff!

By the time he is teething ( around 4-5 mths) he will be able to handle good big bones , and these, frozen are just perfect :)

I always feed pups bones larger than their heads! that way they have quite a time chewing ..not three crunches and swallow ;)

She is training you very well. although it should have happened when you first got her - it can still be done :) get her a nice big chicken wing - freeze it ..and leave her with it outside . definitely get a treatball and /or just use the smaller soft drink plastic bottles ! take off lids/ring around top - poke in tasty dry kibble and a few treats ... shake it , tip it slightly a few times to show her where the food comes out ..and leave her to it !
