  1. Cut his food by a third .. and yes, more trick training /ball chasing :) Can you not walk him by himself ?
  2. Hi :) provided his health checks have been all clear, and he is on no meds which may do this , then I would think he just has a different metabolism- and needs less food/more exercise :)
  3. Hi :) What breed? How old? Inside/outside? What does her day consist of ? How long since you moved? Did she start barking straight away? What training did you do ?
  4. Your dog needs a separate well fenced enclosure - definitely. :) As you are probably learning now ..all a vasectomy does is stop sperm being ejaculated . it does NOT stop production of hormones, and all that goes with it. if you want to keep your sanity, and know your dog is as safe as you can have him ..then lots of training, plus a purpose built, dog proof enclosure is the way to go :) A good strong and high fence , with provision for shelter , and construction which will also stop digging underneath. :)
  5. Real honey is wonderful stuff! Glad it's helping :)
  6. You had an awful time losing your boy previously ... and I'm glad you have a lovely new pup :) Everyone has said what I was going to say - he will STILL want to mate , and can mate . Vasectomy will not stop any behaviours associated with testosterone , either. If he is not safely contained , yes, he can still wander . perhaps use money reserved for surgery on a dog run, or fence repairs? :)
  7. My 2 ents worth ... ;) Unless he has a minor blockage , feeding him anything to stimulate saliva production will cause him more pain IF there is a small blockage in the duct ..eating something which ups saliva production may cause extra pressure to unblock the duct ...MAY .... and infection needs A/Bs first ..very bland wet food , and some pain relief Once the infection is under control, then maybe check for blockages due to stones/scar tissue..or a grass seed!
  8. Contact info should be available where the breeder has an ad, or their website , or from DOGS NSW
  9. T - you're right about that ! ;)
  10. *sigh* Visitors , and Smoke in his element ;)
  11. thank you, Grumpette :) it was as you see it ..The Boss told him to SIT ..and he did :)
  12. but, but , there has to be a photoooo ;)
  13. My vet used to do a few of these ..so much less recovery time/trauma for dogs .
  14. This afternoon , :) ( I love my iPhone )
  15. Smoke bailed up Bruce the ginormous pet sheep yesterday ! It was so funny :) he also has started to chase the apostle birds . All good things . he is excellent at 'sit', comes to his name every time, knows to NOT invite himself indoors ..and has deserted his mum to sleep near the house /porch. He is also a watch pup, and has a pretty good bark for a baby. He knows to NOT get in Trouble's way ..and loves meeting new friends .
  16. it is ! we had visitors over the weekend - this adorably beautiful baby was so well cared for by his Dad when needed ... they were just lovely together :) 'dad' also was OK with me doing the photos & sharing them . It's a rare opportunity , so I indulged! :) and ...
  17. :) good point . it's different when you know them though ;)
  18. I would also suggest there is 'someone' else who visits your house every so often :) Babies can sense them - we recently had visitors who reported their baby 'playing with someone' in the night - arms outstretched , giggling as if he were being tickled ..and 'chatting" away ...
  19. wow!! Thankks for these - they are the only pics I've seen in which I can really appreciate the details ! :)
