sounds as if you got carried away...by cute... phone or email the breeder straight away!! Talk to them - I'm sure you're not the first ;) meanwhile do not let cat/parrot/pup all be in the same room - it's not fair on any of them , and not good for your stress levels :) As said .. do NOT sell/give puppy to anyone other than the breeder if possible .... and by all means keep us posted . BREATHE !!

Christina .. by all means , if a perfect home can be found with someone known - grab it! However, if all played out as sam man suggested ... dog living with friends, sam man visiting , etc .. no, that would , IMO , be not conducive to Loki settling . It may also put a strain on the friendship ......
-
Ams ... I am so sorry . sending thoughts & strength.
-
What an odd thing to see in a newspaper.... .. in the scheme of things ... "dog attacks cat"
-
Hope the decision sits easy .... Loki will be grateful :)
-
Sam. Is there some sort of social club for city apartment dog owners ? Perhaps talk with someone about apartment living ?
-
awww... what's that saying ? "a tired dog is a good dog" :)
-
Sam man ... seriously - as has been said , rehoming is just that . No visitation rights , for the good of the animal. :) Hope you two get to stick together !!
-
..and why your friends may not be the ideal new owners . You'll have to rip the bandaid off all at once . fresh start.
-
No putting greens in an inner city flat ;) ..and where will you keep your little getaway igloo?
-
Poor Dog. If you rehome and have opportunities/time to visit so often .. why can't you find accommodation where he can be with you? In answer to your query .. my impression is that you rehome- you rehome .. and don't take him on outings etc ...
-
... I hope your girl is much improved today ..and that we get photos of her when she's back home :)
-
he was a beautiful boy .. but without a pedigree , you have no proof his parentage was all Golden retriever Just in those pics .. to me he looks like a labxgoldie ....? I hope you find a companion with the same temperament as your gorgeous boy :)

So sorry you are hurting ... Run free & young, Hunter .
-
yes .... that way you know exactly what's happening :)
-
Definitely a probiotic - I have no experience with coconut oil .
-
Oh No at least you got it very early .. and she is in the best place now . Thoughts sent for her uneventful recovery!! The other horrible bit is all the stuff .. where have you taken her that she may have shed virus ? have you had doggie visitors ? You obviously need to contact the seller/breeder as well . This thread is all about cleaning/disinfecting ...... I so wish you didn't need it http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/179377-parvocaronavirus/page__p__4046065__hl__%2Bparvo+%2Bcleaning+%2Bf10__fromsearch__1#entry4046065

Miniature Dachshund Pup - Questions & Advice
persephone replied to M1keAU's topic in General Dog Discussion
:) all sounding good . -
Is your dog having tummy problems that you feel it needs antacids ?
-
With puppies .. a vomiting bout can mean all sorts of things - some serious. A vet check is the only way to help. She should have a vacc certificate with dates and types of vaccination. if you did not get this ..ask the person from whom you bought her . if they are not helpful.. then do NOT take pup anywhere outside the backyard ..and get her vaccinated when she is well!! ( it is a really bad plan to overload their immune system if they are ill) ( carry her in & out of the vets as well ... no standing on paths/floors ) Hope she's back to bouncing very soon :)
-
Poor old chook ... yes- a thorough check and a talk with the vet . :) best of luck with her .

6 years ago???? NOOOO :p

They are still very good friends - with Dougie the Boss ;) It's so funny .. when Dougie catches himself a breakfast bunny, he brings it into the yard near the cat room , usually ..often carrying it 100 mtrs. if I don't notice - widget will come & let me know .... and then I put him in th ecat room to eat in peace ..and Widget gets a little treat of some sort :)

Pet maggies are like having a pet monkey!! They can steal things, sneak inside & cause havoc ... pull your hair, tease the dogs ... and generally provide much laughter !Growing up , I remember we always had one or two around .

Taken about 6 years ago ..when everyone was younger :p
