  1. It's an interesting effect ..long exposures ..some flash used ..... :)
  2. Aren't they great? Something different, and unique .
  3. May I steer you in the direction of one of my fave Adelaide based architect/photographers ..who enjoys capturing the urban landscape a bit differently (like at 3 am ) :) WAYNE GRIVELL... a set on flickr.
  4. :) yep..once that hard nail comes away..it's smooth sailing. Good news!
  5. yes, take photos of pup/collar/fence before you contact the RSPCA ..so then they actually have proof..and not just a 'neighbour thing' .... it is frustrating ..but to avoid having ongoing neighbour probs ..perhaps the 'official' route may be best ..with lots of proof and a calm head ..
  6. So ..the pup doesn't get thru the fence, but can approach it?What I've bolded may not be happening. Sounds fine to me. 6 weeks is too young ..but they have it now..so whingeing won't help.IMO those collars may not be ideal for baby pups ..but I have not much experience. ..and that is OK? :( If puppy was distressed /uncomfortable/crying ..trying to escape the collar - then I may have considered it ..but probably, if pup was obviously so distressed, I would have phoned someone ..like RSPCA for advice. Pup will of course stay near the fence..you talk to it, and have handled it ..and illegally removed its collar. I am just glad pup didn't escape and get into trouble while the collar was off. Maybe, to stop pup doing things to warrant this action from owners ..which actually shows they care a lot about what happens perhaps you could put up a barrier/second fence on your side ? A visual barrier preferably ..so there is NO chance pup will get thru ..or get hurt.
  7. Have you checked in local papers ..or on gumtree/trading post? A lot of folks sell dog/cat runs/kennels..or big roofed aviaries which can be adapted :)
  8. thoughts and prayers .. Little Jed..you were not meant to live here on earth .. enjoy running strong and healthy in that land over the bridge.
  9. Oh Thinking of you , and the poor little fella ..
  10. Which repellant is it ? a dog -specific one? I find some of our dogs react to insect repellant sometimes ( have to use it when mozzies are in plague proportions here )
  11. I do this often ..esp when waiting in a vehicle..dogs are busting to get out ..so we do the yawning thing , and just relax .... (with cats . as a calmer.....try a really slow closing of both eyes a few times ) :)
  12. That's a big assumption, isn't it? Lots of people, myself included, love the look of those sort of dogs .. and being a male , he probably did what so many human males do .. left the dogs intact ... cos that's the 'man' thing! he certainly is not alone in keeping tough looking entire male dogs!! :) AS to why he didn't have secure lockups, I cannot comment, as I didn't see inside his house/yard
  13. Up to you .... I know here, our dogs have so much else happening , they tend to not lick at things ... but a single pup may be different . perhaps , when walking/chewing bones/training leave him be ..and see how he goes ?
  14. Sooty was meant to find your family , I think :) What a lovely girl. R I P Sooty
