  1. Please don't 'fiddle' with this problem .. often dogs kept separate will show more aggression/anxiety when they do meet ...and it is hard to keep dogs separate when they have been together 7 years.Unfortunately , we can't see/hear your dogs , so our suggestions are just based on what we get from your writing, and experience ..not looking at your dogs behaving . I advise a professional consultation - don't know what's what in your part of teh world, but Jane Harper has been mentioned lots on D O L . A professional can assess both dogs- and the environment/management at home... and then work with you on things to help. Your husband being on Holiday may or may not help .. but a good professional is still my suggestion.
  2. I would perhaps change vets? Did she have any blood tests or anything done?
  3. I think shi/jack too .. not much malt that I can see ..but she used to have a pair`of malts , & wants there to be malt ;) House renovations and a basically untrained ratbag .... glad it's her!
  4. meet Maggie. supposedly a maltX rescue from a country pound..around 12 mths old ,small, never been an inside dog ..very active and boisterous. *shakes head* Very cute ... but she is causing a few headaches, apparently ;) The Dachsie has a wrestling buddy, the old lady boxer is not too worried .
  5. Oh.. in the meantime, why not raise your dog's bowls by using a low platform/table/brick or something, so she does not have to bend at that angle - it may make her more comfortable for now
  6. if that's the case, there should be very many stumbling sore dogs around . That comment doesn't sound terribly reassuring. Did he do any manipulations/treatments? tell you where ,or what the injury was?
  7. Here's hoping everything heals well, and that you can take her home Thinking of you.

  10. Do you go to obedience classes? What training do you do with her each day? She's only a baby still, so needs a lot of work to achieve excellent recall . Until she is reliable at recall, she doesn't get to free run in areas where others are. It could be very dangerous ..and no, she will not grow out of it - she'll just be able to run further ;) I think you will get some good ideas from reading this thread about a similar`problem .
