  1. I had to teach my cat the same rule he comes on the bed to say goodnight ..then, when my light goes off- he hops in his own bed he wakes me in the morning ... but now rarely is he on the bed during the night , thank goodness. My dog stays on his bed, too.
  2. malaseb is definitely not soothing..it kills fungi/malassesia on the skin.
  3. you maybe need to teach your dog she doesn't jump on ANY furniture without permission. If she sleeps in your room ..then set aside a weekend or something ..and every time she jumps up.. just put her back on the floor . Make sure she has a nice bed of her own... and that is the ONLY place she gets patted/spoken to /maybe a food treat ..she does not get spoken to on your bed .
  4. KK - have you ever seen a dog affected by alcohol or other intoxicants ?
  5. They don't get an opportunity .....
  6. I thought it was just lovely .. the dog was having a ball..but being careful ..and baby was just captivated!
  7. Glad she is better.. and hope that it was something else!

  9. If your mum's dog has no problem, and has never ever been aggressive..then why did you write these bolded bits? I'm confused.
  10. It is indeed- avoiding potential fatal dog injuries/law suits/personal injury...and I'm all for it! getting PROFESSIONAL HELP is what is necessary. until that is done - why, yes, avoidance is my recommendation and there are HEAPS of things which can be done with dogs on lead ... they don't have to chase balls to be fulfilled and content .
  11. Why can't the dog be walked on a lead locally? That would give it enough exercise and sniffing time Millions of dogs live their lives without the stress of a dog park . There is help available if your mum's in a city . Ask on here, and we'll point you in the right direction !
  12. Oh... Yes, if she followed a wombat the outcome would not be good. All you can do is hope some other bushwalkers found her and are loving her somewhere safe. Not ideal... but a better thing to imagine
  13. Deejay - where is your mother situated? perhaps we can recommend someone to help her? And I don't think at this time , it's a good plan to take an unpredictable, potentially aggressive dog to obedience classes. Better to be assessed and safely helped at home ..then when your mum learns more about what's going on.... maybe
  14. the answer is basic. Do not take a dog like this to somewhere there are other dogs. Contact a recommended professional to assess and advise and educate.
  15. Cheapaschips have them ..pretty awful quality tho .
  16. this is a video link, apparently.... just in case you are on limited data allowance ,or dialup .
  17. THis bit was of some concern to me as well.. as it seemed a very small space.
  18. I listened to that yesterday ....glad it was that reporter and not me ! The old man sounded a character
  19. I snakes here live in engine sheds/under/in the chassis of old cars . they don't seem to mind.... Phenyle has also been suggested as a barrier spray .
