  1. Sharpei is my favourite It's nice seeing them scanned!
  2. What are they called? In future- you may want to discuss the medications with the vet/nurse, so you know what you are giving you dog ;) I'm sorry you're having trouble washing the sore spots... and agree with another vet visit to shave /show you a way of cleaning it . If the dog is struggling, and tense, that will not be helping his sprained back Hopefully he's already started to feel more comfortable, with all your care
  3. You're lucky having those flowers/shrubs nearby !
  4. I hope you have been to a doctor!! That hand wound will probably need some treatment .... tetanus jab and antibiotics spring to mind. Also - by going to a doctor ASAP and giving info- the bite is recorded should legal action be needed /taken at some stage ....
  5. it is like bonding - getting to know and to work together .... camera works in a way I am not used to, and vice versa ..It's interesting :p

    Rip Nova

    Ohhh, R I P Nova . He looked a gorgeous boy .
  7. I'm not 100% sure- but I think this rodenticide is a registered poison, and is not for use in residential areas. AFAIK it is for broadacre use only. With other poisons/anticoagulants ... yes, it's true- with many, a mouse only needs to have one feed to get a dose high enough to start the process of bleeding to death. BUT... this takes some days, and the mouse continues to feed ,until it is too ill to walk. So would this mean the mouse could have a bellyful.. and a liver full ?
  8. Thanks - Thee are some things I like about the DSLR - and a lot I don't BUT we do sometimes create something nice to look at
  9. practice ,practice, practice , and definitely focus on EYES You have gorgeous subjects ... who look as if they are happy to sit & be looked at thru adoring eyes ... so encourage them to 'stay '.. and then play with focus . ;)
  10. It 'could' be lots of things ... and it sounds like he is in pain In case he has hurt his back.. If you have to lift him... lift him very carefully ..and lift front & back ends at the same time ...! if he has a travel crate or basket .. get him into that to transport him, so he is on a flat surface ,and is contained. I hope all goes well with the vet visit
  11. I also think this is a wise move ..just until his stomach gets used to handling food again *looking forward to more 'dining dog' photos *
  12. Good news- just hope his tummy doesn't get upset with all this beautiful food!! Pork steaks are much better for Indie than for your tea :p Lovely photo!!
  13. So - she is only crated for an hour? And she screams pretty much the whole time? Then perhaps she knows that she WILL be let out after a certain time ... scream or not- so she screams. does she scream straight away? If not - if she's busy with treats ..for 2 minutes ...THEN make a fuss and let her out! Do it again ..and again ... gradually lengthening the time by a half minute or minute.... Debarking for this should not even be considered by a reputable vet , sorry
  14. Julzjc did they do barium Xrays of his digestive system.. so they could follow it thru, and note any problems ? It just seems odd - that he's playing etc .. but finds the thought of eating repugnant . The only other dogs I've seen grieving have not wanted to interact with anyone ...
  15. Just waiting for OH to get back so I can go to the vet for it. They didnt want to give him it untill the results were in. Nup for the milk, he DID like milk but not anymore. ahh - Ok .
