  1. Thankyou Hmm.. I had a look around that forum .. I think it is way too focussed on the technical aspects for me :D Thatnks anyway - I did enjoy viewing the wonderful photos!
  2. shame that you can't use permoxin . Hope you find something suitable!
  3. ...and perhaps, so proportions are correct- when you photograph your drawings- do it absolutely facing them straight The tilt of a page can make the drawing look skewed, even if it is all nice & straight
  4. Yep -- hard as it is you gotta practise!! And practise! Thanks, folks - I find the awkwardness of having to change lenses is a pain... I love my fuji - goes from supermacro to zoom in a second BUT the images i do get with the Canon ..the ones that work.. I like a lot! ;) like this one .. kids I met on the weekend (I normally don't 'do' people, but this camera/lens likes faces ) ...it looks better larger ,and in full res. this is straight off camera.
  5. when he was tiny & cute ... did you have him on your lap? did you pat him when he came to you /patted you with his chubby paw? Did you play with him, using your hands (with or without a toy? )

  9. It is not an easy transition ..but, I am deleting less and less pics flickr link I find it all very confusing ... even on auto. Think I really prefer the convenience of a P&S ..altho there have been some nice shots with teh DSLR .It likes faces/portraits .. something I haven't done much of it also loves architectural stuff ... we are compromising a lot!
  10. that looks good- and you took the 'sharkfin ' out of the lady's head
  11. poor old fella. It may now not be triggered by eating something - perhaps with multiple problems , his system is just getting tired?
  12. snap - you got in just ahead of me . I was about to ask the same question ...
  13. Ok- that I 'think' I understand ..does it then stop the bacterial reaction that happens when feet are licked ?
  14. *no product name used- to hopefully avoid headaches for Troy * Ok .. a well known product has been suggested a lot for tear stain issues. It got me interested.(I am certainly no scientist/chemist - so bear with me . I also have never had a dog with this problem, and , honestly always thought excess tears were a tear duct/eye irritation problem ) It contains an antibiotic which works like the Erythromycins ..apparently in a form which also 'binds' certain minerals causing the staining. My query is mainly about giving an antibiotic to your dog daily - albeit in small doses . There are conflicting writings- some say it does no harm- and of course there are dogs for whom side effects are a worry . There is also concern over bacteria developing resistance - as they are continually subjected to low doses of the antibiotic ... Can anyone explain what is happening here? Is it such a wonder product? Are there problems you've noticed?
  15. There is an interesting discussion on this if you CLICK HERE
