  1. Great app -hopefully it leads to more profile of rescue dogs :)
  2. What a great idea - really fantastic. I hope it gets off the ground well.
  3. It's even better when they start stealing the cat poo - like little treasures to dogs it seems.. !!
  4. What gorgeous gorgeous dogs - all of them. Look like such a lovely breed with such personality!

    Itchy Puppy!

Could be plants in the backyard? Also in some dogs can be diet related but being it's one spot maybe not. Hope you find out what's causing it :)
  6. Pearl is so lucky to get a chance at some TLC :)
  7. My dog wasn't particularly food motivated when he was young - was a bit frustraiting at dog obedience but I did found he liked atttention, just a 'good boy' better than food! He's not particularly into other dogs sometimes too - more of a smooze running up to random people and saying oh HI! - Just a matter of finding what their motivation is..took me a while!
  8. Juddy and Fletcher are so cute - lovely pups!
  9. I feed mine at night - and he is always sleepy after his dinner.
  10. Erny it is on really hot days - but it's not ridiculously busy - and most of the time there's not a lot of dogs there. It's only the really hot days (I find).
  11. Love the photos Krislin looks like they had fun!! That beach is pretty close to us so we go there a bit over the summer months - it really is awesome for dogs. :)
  12. Mine has the big comfy pillow type beds that were on that 1 day site cheap a while back. He also now has a trampoline bed which was actually for the foster dogs but he has claimed it! He is in love with it and thinks it beats all other beds.
  13. By diet I mean even slight food allergies/intolerances can make Pei skin itchy - especially high protein it seems. It may depend on the weather/climate where you are maybe? Just relaying my experiences. :)
  14. They can be prone to skin conditions, but as previously mentioned, that tends to be brought on by diet or just bad care (ie lack of bathes, flea control etc.) more than anything else. My Pei is incredibly rolly, and we don't need to clean his wrinkles or anything to that effect. His chin does need drying after he drinks, but none of this wipes between the wrinkles. None of the foster pei I've had , have needed any cleaning of the wrinkles so to speak.
  15. Always use car harnesses here - clipped in, in the back seat. Don't fancy 20kg dogs going flying in an accident..all for restraints.
  16. I took our dog quite a few places when he was young- I figured the exposure and socialisation was more important than the small risk. I just kept away from dog parks and the like. I think it was a valuable learning curve for him.
  17. Not so much camping, but my brother has a holiday cabin place out that way near Bairnsdale - close to Lakes Entrance. It's dog friendly and good rates, I am a tad biased but we visit often and it is bliss. http://www.parkvaleholidaycabins.com.au/
  18. Haven't used them but have used Laverton vet clinic and really have liked them - Rosemary really knows her stuff and is very straightforward which I like.
  19. Cabins just out of Bairnsdale - very dog friendly http://www.parkvaleholidaycabins.com.au/
