What a handsome boy! From my experience labs have usually grown out of being naughty puppies by about 7. :D I hope he soon finds a great forever home. :)

Thanks for the replies. I had a talk with my vet, she said it could be a melanoma but does not have the expertise to investigate. We are off to see a doggy eye specialist next week. She is getting on in years so it will be good to have an overall opinion about her eyes anyway.

I very recently noticed my dog has a black spot on her eye. I only noticed it from taking a photo of her as the camera exaggerated her elderly eyes that are going hazy (cataracts?) except for the spot. It does not seem to be causing her any problems at this stage but I thought I might ask if anyone has had any experience with something like this. It seems to stay in the same spot on her iris just under her pupil. She is 10.5 years old. I was looking at the VicRoads site and can't find specific details on this except 'You must not drive if there is an animal on your lap.' http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/SafetyAndRules/RoadRules/Animals.htm If it is law in Vic does anyone know what meets the requirements to have a dog 'restrained'. Thanks in advance for any replies. :)
