  1. I hope Bruno's surgery remains a success and he is back in full form soon. *Hugs*
  2. Sending my blessings and love to Solo. I'm sorry for your loss.
  3. Well done RuralPug for helping this little fellow.
  4. Is the grass different to your previous house? Both of my dogs are allergic to Kikuyu grass and I have to keep them away from it because the allergy is so bad. I have heard quite a lot of dogs can be allergic to this particular grass but your case may not be that. Once the allergic reaction sets in they can develop secondary skin issues so best to see the vet or an animal dermatologist. Sorry I haven't got many suggestions for in the meantime except maybe to keep her off the grass if possible to see if that helps. 5. Congrats. It is hard letting go but made easier knowing you have found a good forever home.
  6. I agree, it is good news.
  7. That pic is so cute. Thanks mantis and stans mum. :) I'm off topic too (sorry dogmad) but it is heartwarming to see how well these two get on. I so often see them snuggled up together like that. That's so sad Anne about Sidney.
  8. Well I must be fortunate because my dogs are mother and daughter and there has never been any aggression between them. In fact they seem to adore each other.
  9. I'm very sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace Strolchie.
  10. A dietician told me the egg white part has no cholesterol so people needing a low cholesterol diet can have lots of whites but have to limit the yolks because the cholesterol is all in the yolks. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/cholesterol/HQ00608
  11. If you get another dog I would advise getting a male and having him desexed as it is more likely they will get on. I have heard if two females don't get on the fights can be quite nasty. I hope it goes well whatever you decide. :)
  12. I'm sorry for your loss, such a sweet boy. Rest in Peace Percy.
  13. Poor girl. I'd try and get her seen tonight if its been that long. Could you get to the Lort Smith maybe? They have an after hours service until midnight and might admit her if needed. https://lortsmith.com/index.php/hospital-46566/veterinary-care-75460 Hugs to you and Cinders.
  14. Oh dear, though gorgeous she looks sad or in pain in that pic. Fingers crossed for some better help tomorrow from the vet.
  15. I missed this too. What a gorgeous boy. I hope time heals the sorrow Powerlegs. They sure have a way of digging a hole into our hearts. RIP Herbert
  16. How sad to lose them both so soon. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Charlie and Oscar
  17. One of the good sides of rescue I have seen on this forum is the collaborative effort made to save some dogs. We can only do what we can and sometimes just one person offering a donation can get the ball rolling as it seems has happened for this cattle girl. Good on you all those willing to help her and staying positive. I find it touching to see, especially for an elderly dog. I hope it works out for her.

  20. Just a lateral thinking suggestion here but maybe too late if the police have already spoken to them: Maybe take her a bunch of flowers and tell her you are worried that someone might be throwing glass into your yard. Then ask her if she could please let you know if she sees anyone doing it because you are worried about the welfare of your puppy. Might help if she could also meet your puppy and see how adorable it is. If you can possibly get her on side somehow it could save a lot of stress and heartache!
  21. Both Maddie and Stan look lovely in their snoodies. :)
  22. My heart goes out to you cassie. I'm so sorry to hear this and wish to send you some support. It's just not fair sometimes that these things happen. Take care.
