  1. She looks great!! Congratulations!!! Can't wait to see the pics of the bubs! Sunni is day 59 (im not counting or anything ;) ) No not half! Fingers crossed all goes well with Sunni.
  2. Congratulation Lyndsay Sounds like a dream whelping Would love to see some pics.
  3. Well here she is at 6 weeks. Not very big as only a couple of puppies expected.
  4. I think I would change my vet Karlmore Lovely surprises though!
  5. So very sorry Wazzat Xolo! I can imagine how important these babies were to you!
  6. I was thinking the same thing. He's dog agressive and untrained BUT he didn't attack a human. Lot's of dogs around like that!
  7. Clyde is spot on - you just don't need to ask some of those questions straight up and frankly I would think your a bit weird Although if you were buying a puppy from me be prepared for an inquisition ;) Seriously, at least it shows you are trying to do the right thing and better than the "I want to buy a puppy, how much do they cost approach"
  8. Not many litters for November! How are you all going out there? My girl is six weeks today. Photos? Wazzat your still not on the list.
  9. Fingers and toes crossed for all of those hopeful of a litter
  10. I have been going to the same vet surgery for around 18 years. My current vet (who owns the surgery with her husband) is lovely and never hurries you. She has my breed so takes a special interest. As I show my dogs they never shave hair unless it is vital and then they keep it to a minimum. They are a bit pricey but they have done it tough after virtually losing their equine practice due to Hendra a few years back.
  11. I also would let the back row teats dry up as these are the ones that sometimes give the most trouble if not emptied regularly. I've also found that they are the least liked teats as the pups get older even though they do seem to produce a lot of milk.
  12. That is a worry for you but seems quite common. I have the opposite problem Wazzat, my girl has some strange sort of eating disorder when she is in whelp. I have signs stuck to walls everywhere with "don't leave any clothing on floor" etc LOL. I have had to put wooden poles into the sliding doors of wardbrobes so she can't get in and eat shoes. She even will drag books out of the bookcase and eat the paper I'm terrifed she will get a blockage!
  13. It depends on how much you have to use. I purchased 2 60gm containers and I used a heaped scoop for the whippets and small scoop for the Iggy for a month and now I only have the Iggy on it and I still have not used half the container. Sometimes I might put it on the whippets teas once or twice a week and I have cut the amount back as there teeth are perfect. The amount you give is so small you would wonder how it works but it does. All my friends that purchased it say its unbelievable in what it does. Just saw this Oakway. So I don't have to read through the whole thread: :D What is it called? Where do I get it? How much is it? Many thanks! http://www.plaqueoff.com/for-animals It also has on the container www.molarltd.co.uk I have the despatch note from the seller their addy is www.netpetshop.co.uk I purchased from an e bay site The total cost including shipping was $22.50 for 2 x 60 gm containers. It is now thought to available in Australia through the Troy Company but it is also thought to far more expensive than the price that we have been paying purchasing through e bay sellers. Also shop around on line as some sellers were very expensive also. It comes with its own dispensing spoon. A small round spoon smaller than my little finger nail. It also took 10 to 14 days for the shipments to arrive. One person had their shipment held up with customs but after a phone call it was released to them. Had a few containers come through here for friends with no problems. As it is now available in Australia I can see no further problems with this this product. Thanks Oakway - much appreciated!

  15. - will use the diluted malaseb as directed. Then perhaps use the Betadine to keep bacteria under control from his licking and chewing and licking the floor. I will also use the malaseb for a bath I have found it great in the past when he starts on his paws - we both just hate that 10 minute wait - worse than waiting for a kettle to boil! Thanks
  16. Hi Heidi Yes they could bend their legs as the knees were unaffected. It's been over 3 years since I had my swimmer puppy and I had to think The rib cage is the most noticable thing as it pushes the front legs from the shoulders out towards the sides. Are you thinking you may have a swimmer Heidi?
  17. Nekhbet, it doesn't seem to be the smell on his breath that is bad and teeth and gums look OK - no gum disease (swelling, redness or pockets). He is on Royal Canin. I don't want to mask the problem but hopefully kill the problem if it is just his lip folds being a breeding ground for nasties. I will have a go smelling around his mouth and breath tonight to make sure. I really think it is just what Miranda mentioned as I noticed it last night when he was on his back lying with his head in my lap and his lips were falling back (open). Sort of a damp mouldy rank smell - hideous! He has been particularly itchy lately with the spring season and no doubt that doesn't help as he is doing a bit of chewing and licking. What dilution would you use in water with the Malaseb Miranda - I don't want to poison him? I think I will try this first. Thanks for the replies
  18. Were you thinking of supplying them if they work well Sway? For big litters in particular I would have thought they would be a life saver providing the problems get fixed.

  20. My 8 year old male beagle has a stinky mouth. He is a kitchen floor licker so no doubt picks up lots of bacteria in the process. It seems to be his flews that are the problem. Is here a solution I can make up that is safe to use in and around the mouth area to kill bacteria? Or can you just use a human type mouth wash on cotton wool or similar? His teeth were scaled and cleaned by the vet last year and I have started cleaning them with a little brush thingy that you put on your finger.
  21. we had four but the less the better for us! LOL Four is great. Enough to get at least one show prospect and still very manageable for mum and you! Very excited for you
  22. Only 2 puppies confirmed on the scan. Happy but it would be great if there is another one hiding.
