My Amazing Kibah, Small But Mighty
Clicking Mad replied to Kirislin's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
great! I just love the shot of the profile of Kibah and Feather! It looks like the finish-line -
Jamie's 15/52. Except for today and probably the weekend, it's been a rather chilly week here in Melbourne. I bought Chester a couple of new coats (the 2 I had already had both lost their belly straps) leading into the colder weather, and I tried them on him and Jamie. I think she is totally pretty in this coat, I think it suits her better than Chester and I'm sure it fits her better ... so it's hers and she appreciated having it on all day yesterday :D you can't really see the coat, but I love her look in this shot: oh and this was taken when I was setting Jamie up for a better view of the coat ... love how Chester has come in for a smooch (with his new ruthless collar on too) cheers

Asha sure gets some height! Great shots

thanks CM - those dam greys run big circles around you - so it's into the sun, back to the sun - me spinning on the spot trying to keep the camera out of the water. I have tried to change the exposure in lightroom, but the dog then just vanishes into the water - not sufficient contrast to silhouette the dog. And no matter what I do, the water gets "pinker", But I guess I am happy with the shots under the circumstances ;) . The 2nd pic looks more like it could be a silhouette than the 1st? I've done the water dance, click, click, click argh! camera held high in the air, spin spin spin, back down again, click, click, click - it's a dangerous operation They are nice as is, the light is nice, and I like the morning playtime beachy feel If (and this is usually a big "if") I was to think about these shots before taking them I would have set the camera to take some silhouette shots, and only bothered clicking when they were in that spot, and wait for them to circle back around etc. and then after I was satisfied switch back to take normally exposed shots and take those pics? Like 2 separate shoots? Just an idea

altheau - love the working kelpies annie - if those 2 shots into the rising sun were mine I would have exposed for the reflected water thereby making them silhouettes, the colours of the water are great!

oh I got the sigma version 100mm f/2.8 quite some time ago now. I should find some shots to post here

thanks kirislin another landscape panorama

I agree the 3rd one! but the others are great too! I most certainly wouldn't worry about the blurry bits around his mouth, the eyes are what's important and they look great, very expressive in that shot! Here's Jamie's 12/52. We got a chance to explore a bit further along an off-lead dog area that I go to semi-regularly, and found this bridge. I'm a little bit excited about the discovery, and will definitely be visiting again with another certain doggy I rarely take Jamie out on off-lead walks by herself, she was brilliant! in this shot a by-passing cyclist even said: "What a great dog!"

anniek - killer tomatoe cute pup cairo1 a few square Chester shots with this I cheated I guess by using the square hole in the fence to frame it ... it was late and there really wasn't enough light for this, I had intended to do it earlier but typically got side-tracked so they are fairly grainy I tried using my front window as a frame too, but that attempt was even later and darker and I realised it didn't work so well anyway

that last shot of her gripping it with her paws is really sweet! yeh, sometimes I play umpire, my guys don't tend to be too bad though, I only find myself intervening when I think the method of stealing was not very nice. Jamie has this amazing knack of just walking over lying down in close proximity or standing over one of the other dogs so they voluntarily depart leaving the toy (or bone) for her to enjoy at her leisure, it's quite cool to watch her in action

The Most Ever Paid For A Photograph
Clicking Mad replied to Kirislin's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
it was a great BBC series, I only caught the last 3 or 4 but there were 6 episodes in all I found it very good and very interesting I've got the book on order ;) How interesting was it with the guy that did those full-on street staged photo productions like a movie, and he didn't even touch the camera :D -
oops a bit late for last week 11/52 - Jamie with her favourite toy the tennis ball and I thought I'd throw a couple of outtakes in here: crazy eyes almost popping right out her little head hehehe and another one where she's making the catch
-
evolving - nice shot of the bird flying ;) anniek - too funny the dog flopped in the bowl I'd definitely intended to crop this square, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'd pre-framed it up with a clear idea in my mind it worked okay at least, not like most of the others I've tried I will continue to try these vertical panoramas despite the fact that I'm thinking that they are totally wrong :D and a couple more normal panoramas well almost normal, this one to follow is upside down :D
