  1. LOL about being handler impaired - I think we can all relate to that. Well done on your pass with CK and just consider the other runs as blowing the Xmas cobwebs away
  2. Yep and I hate it!!!! - so I start work on it early because all mine did it as youngsters. Its like lazy puppy sits and its almost like you have to develop the back muscles to help them sit straight for long periods.
  3. Wo HOo what a great first up effort and for those on FB - NO your bum didn't look big :D
  4. Tollers are renown for sloppy sits and I spend a fair amount of time teaching them to sit up - by holding the food up high when I reward - it makes them have to lean forward and up to get it - without lifting their butt off the ground. I think this encourages the skip fronts.
  5. Yep I second and third the well done to Ruski in organising the event last night - absolutely brilliant! If ever my daughter thinks about getting married (after I have killed her) I will know who to turn to to organise it - think she would enjoy the restrained recalls between the groomsmen The atmosphere was brilliant, being able to work the kids with so many distractions was spot on and yep I even got to do some chatting There was some nice obedience work happening and I see a few of you have decided to take the plunge for the Classic - goodonya :D Just wish we could have one of these 4 times a year - absolutely perfect - what do others think. Good luck WX
  6. 4pm - I usually get there early so I will see you in the driveway
  7. Lara has gone down hill over the last 6 weeks, we are seeing Deb on Tuesday to talk about where to from here. ;)
  8. I shouldn't underestimate what my Moo is capable of ;) Lots of work to do still on getting them 100%, same with Ruby's. But at least both of them have basic 12 pole weaving skills now Hey - I will take Ruby for remedial dogwalk training and you can do remedial weavers with Soggy - Deal or NO Deal
  9. I am going tonight but will be a bit late as I have a date with the fencing men, so hopefully by Sunday evening my dogs will be contained and will be able to use the back training paddock again As for who I am going to take hmmm decisions decisions So we will see you there :D
  10. I went in and did a google search - typed in hip scoring form and the top website was Wyburns form grcq.org.au/.../Hip%20Scoring/ Dr%20Wyburn%20Hip%20Scoring%20Form%202009.doc Not sure if this link will work
  11. Yep I am down to 7 fingers after last night. Tell me do you ever feed your blonde one???
  12. Argh latent learning and consolidation - I love it Good luck at Albany.
  13. Toby has a sweet tooth and really enjoys the morning ritual of tricks for Nutri Grain when I have it for breakfast HMm now I now why he looks like he has been in a good paddock over Xmas
  14. I will wait and see what others surggest. Stands are the last thing I teach and at nearly 9 months Strauss still doesn't have one which makes it very ugle/hard in the show ring Have just changed my mind (womens perogative!) I would be teaching a kick back stand. You can do this 2 ways: 1. Have the dog sitting next to you in heel position and use your foot to tickle the dogs back foot/toes - if the dog is sensitive they will do a kick back stand which you can click and treat. 2. Have the dog sitting in front and lower food from the dogs nose to their chest and once again they should do a kick back stand to get it. I think Caffy has some youtube video somewhere.
  15. Yep chocolate was calling But the kids all trained well - so thanks Rubystar I must remember that Sunday's show is reverse alphabetical order which means I need to get there early, which also means I should get a decent parking spot
  16. try: http://www.ausbiotech.org/directory/detail...icalIndex%2Easp
  17. Rally Valley gets to play with my kids at least once a week and shows 2 of them for me, so she has first hand experience with tollers. However, I always hand pick the naughty full on ones as babies because thats what I want for obedience, ones with attitude, but they do come in a more laid back version I think she was very diplomatic with what she said
  18. Training tonight - hmmm I guess I could make it a quickie - what time can you get there?
  19. GETOVERIT and besides training was great last night
  20. Can you tell me how wide the leads are please??
  21. Tell them to photocopy the report and keep it in their records - you paid for the x-rays - the dog is yours and the x-rays should be yours too. Sorry but I would fight for these. You have every right to take these x-rays to a chiropractor.
  22. Boxagirl - why couldn't the vet release the x-rays???? Did you not pay for them??
  23. You should have come and said HI - Rubystar was with me and Fetchemup was helping me Cider beat Strauss so its now 3:2 in her favour. Well done with Kelari
  24. A lady here in Perth makes the rolled leather ones. I currently use one that i got from Janet Morrison from Queensland - sounds very similar to the one kathq is using. If kathq can't post her website - let me know and I will see if I can find it.
