Yep Kalgoorlie, going to bring my daughter home - exams are over and I don't want her driving all that way on her own. Besides she has been up there since January and I decided that I better see where she was living before it is too late :p
-
Hey OSoSwift have you spotted Bedazzled down your way yet???? If you do - can you put her in a post bag and send her back to Perth please
-
Yep Lara is the best $50 I have EVER spent - she turns 14 on the 9th December, she is my first OC and she is one very special little black girl who still comes training and gets to do little bits and pieces. She is selectively deaf, her eye sight isn't the best but she can still hear the fridge open from the other side of the house

Mum just rang to say 2 parcels have been delivered - so heres hoping one is from Clean Run I am training early tonight and then flying to Kal tomorrow, so you may have to wait until MOnday to receive your goodies.

LOL Been there done that and the dog in question is still smarter than I am The only plus to this is that she is now greyer than I am
-
This problem usually occurs because you have been rewarding up high and the dog is semi-raising its body to move towards the reinforcer. Start rewarding the downs between the front legs and on the ground. Be careful getting into the habit of giving a second command to drop

Lost last night ...... One seekback of lost article with decoy. Found 3 x blind retrieves Lost the night before...... 2 x blind retrieves. Positions in motion have been found. Lost on the weekend....... Positions in motion I think there is a pattern here Oh the joys of training for a new class

I think all of us did It might have been a good thing that we did wag since I hear 2 cars were broken into and things stolen - so just a reminder - lock your cars when at K9. Also 2 agility dogs back from the Susan Garrett seminar in NSW are at Murdoch with tick bites Fingers crossed they are both OK.

I picked Cider up from the airport and she screamed the place down. Then I decided for everybody's safety that she would travel in the back of the tonka van in a crate, well on the first trip she managed to work out how to roll the crate while screaming and she did that for every trip there after, sometimes I hadn't even got out of the driveway, so I gave in, put her in the back with the rest and she has been quiet every since - whew!

So did you end up doing the Mock trial thing?? and don't tell me you have taken up drinking like Rubystar
-
She loves the bang game, that's the bit I can't figure out! I've asked her to bang on the end of a see-saw and she thinks it's an absolute hoot!! But it was then going over a baby dogwalk in the same session as the bang game that made her crap herself Gosh my heart leapt last night, it was like watching your child step out in front of a car and knowing you can't do anything about it cos you won't be there in time to save them!! Slighty dramatic I know, but it's how I felt I heard the gasp - but didn't know what had happened Vickie - you didn't find your girls jumped off the dog walk excessively after showing them they could??

I can't wait to see a video of her and make sure you keep us all updated on YOUR progress
-
Stays - its a deal Tell us more - I love her already just from your description. I always choose the naughty one when selecting a puppy and Cider sounds like her twin sister
-
Well if there was such a thing as a strategic pairs UDX - then I think we would almost manage our first leg As for your little live wire - just enjoy the ride
-
You show me yours and I will show you mine But I am also posting an "out" clause as it may all be pearshaped by 5pm tonight
-
We had a major breakthrough (not breakdown) last night Hey Bedazzled can we play show and tell tonight
-
Howdy - we have met already :D
-
Oh NO Congratulations
-
ARGH to UDX training - it sucks We have bits, little bits, disjointed bits, bits and pieces and even the occassional full bit, but nothing consistent. What he knew yesterday has gone 24 hours later I think the title of OC (Occassionally Clever) is all he is destined ever to be Maybe I should write a book Training for UDX - not sure if it will sit with the books that make you weep, or the horror books that make you scared to read on, or perhaps it will just sit with the books that make you laugh.
-
Huski will you have access to a PC and a car while you are in WA. Happy to have a get together at K9 or at my house - I know you all know what dust bunnies look like so no need to run around and vaccuum
-
Duncraig that's miles away Yep South Geraldton when I look at a map Will you have Daisy with you?
-
I am showing on NYE (aren't we ValleyCBR ) if that is any help. and to keep this training related...... Strauss was in his first show on Saturday - having not been taught how to stand and having done no gaiting practice - he actually did very well. The bit of obedience work I had done with my hand out wide and him targeting it worked a treat ValleyCBR and him made a lovely couple ;)
-
When do you arrive Huski and where are you staying?
-
Pick me You can come and meet all the red family and get dog hair all over you ;)
