I think you need to get over the distance thing - even if you can come to K9 once a month - it will really help with your motivation and you might pick up a few different things to try at home. I used to travel from Bunbury and Rockingham so sorry have no sympathy. But then if you can't be bothered far be it for us to try and change that Now ducking for cover............

Yes I often feel like this lately, not sure what's wrong with me. I went to training last night not really feeling it, so decided to just do some easy stuff, with lots of click and treat to keep my motivation up as well as the dogs. Ended up having a really good session Did you miss me ;)

Yikes if you feel like that then your poor dog probably does as well. YOu need to have a lesson with somebody - will definitely help with the motivation and the movement forward. Alternatively, see if you can catch up with somebody to train with one night each week. Best if it is somebody who knows more than you do.

The 2 weeks before I started trialling Cider I asked for somebody to call us a CCD round at the Club I train at on a MOnday night. These were people that she didn't know and I had food in a sealed container in my pocket which I rewarded her from. I also continued to tell her she was a Very good gir when she did something nice and to wait etc as the person approached during the SFE and as I returned to her. I found working in this situation was more for me as it allowed me to sort out my footwork when somebody was calling the round - rather being on my own agenda. Usually I try and do a few minutes on the outside of the ring while somebody else is working in the ring, heeling alongside the ring ropes and doing COP and recalls there as well. I always have a plan when I train
