  1. Dogs can react to some carpets although more react to the carpet powders many place on the carpet before vacuming.. From what you have said its sounds like this home just aint for your boy & hopefully when you move things will improve
  2. I dare say its whats in your garden. What grass do you have. What sort of floor surface do you have in the house?? What is the main difference your dog comes in contact with daily compared to where you lived before?? What was feed feed before moving here??
  3. At meal times has he been feed already?? Has he been previously given food from the table??
  4. We monthly heartworm here aswell.Worm when necessary & the only time i use a flea product is when i fly east & thats simply due to not knowing what the other passengers have(we seem to travel with lots of cats) Otherwise we dont use any flea/tick stuff simply just in case. Our puppy owners are told which products we trust & suggest & also point out if they choice another product on the vets advice/sales shop/pet shop we cannot guarantee what may happen & its at there own risk. We did for many years use daily with no probs at all & also infrom our puppy owners that daily is perfectly fine . When you run boarding kennels its very enlightening in what vets suggest & give clients dogs without talking to them about it.Most people literally have no clue what there vet has given the dog
  5. Double K here . But friends have the moser cordless & they where nice to use
  6. Yep obedience time.Barking can be normal but undesirable. Instead going for walks go back basics & start lead training again
  7. Id say its the harness. The harness can rub & pull on the hair & be very uncomfy for a dog besides they also cause knots on coated breeds. Some of the harness also dont sit well & with the pulling could alos bruise areas under the skin Your pup is 12 weeks he doesnt get to decide what he likes to wear & i would be training the pup to like his collar for walks
  8. We have/are using it with no issues but ofcourse every dog is different
  9. "I've never contacted the breeder about this matter because I'm not a full-on serious show person..." Whether your serious or not doesnt matter .its always nice to hear if there are any issues when you sell a pup & nicer to hear from the owner not a judge or someone else. I doubt the breeder will say not show it BUT if some judges decide to no award & the breeder hears about it they might be very concerned as to why
  10. Some of you are being ripped off thats all i can say.
  11. The thing to remember is gluco doesnt have to be gioven once the trouble hits. All my large dogs get it from pup stage
  12. How does your PBGV carry his tail. Many dogs showen ha=ve sustained tail damage but whether it affects the way the tail sits or they way they carry there tail is another thing & how bad the kink is. What did has your breeder said??
  13. Ask your breeder which variety they are using. Infact simply ask your breeder for the food fact sheet before you get your pup so you can have all on hand.
  14. If he has HD it will show up on the x rays.Personally i wouldnt be changing diet for no good reason. We have rayed a 9 month old due to concerns & all was fine, for what it costed it was easier to now what was happening plus we always use Bowen. Have you contacted the breeder>> They may suggest a vet who has more experience in this area (hd etc)
  15. we had a dog that ended up with severely blocked tear ducts which created all sorts of issues. She had surgery to re direct her tear ducts through her noise & it was the best thing we ever did
  16. we have used it with no issues but common sense is all drugs have some form of side effects & for some animals/humans it can be minor to major. We are very funny when it comes to meds & like to know all the ins & outs & any alternatives & i do wish vets would inform clients of what to watch for after all its not like they give the fact sheet with these drugs
  17. When our pups leave they must either go early sat morning if people work & they must committ themesleves to the pup. If someone is home then pups can go when there ready(mid week). Some people are lucky & have friends/family members who will pop in,some can pop home during lunch & others do take time off often due to there being other dogs already there but many people dont take time off & just work there feeding schedule around the pup. Its a hard call . Given mallie pups are certainly alot sturdier when coming home you may fined you dont need time off but as its coming into winter make sure the outside area is ready for the pups protection
  18. If she isnt that dirty then just do a hot towel bath. Get a bucket & put a little shampoo in.then the towel.Ring the excess water out so there is ideally none dripping & place towle around her & wipe down
  19. Not only the health issues the injections cost far more than the monthly tablets. Here the going rate is about $127 for the heartworm jab
  20. We will bath & blowdry long coats BUT for that service only it must be knot free
  21. Used double K for 17 years 5/6 days aweek & dont get any pain at all
  22. odd diet for a large breed & growing pup. Wheatbix has no value at all. We feed dry plus raw
  23. What diet did your breeder suggest ??
  24. double K may be expensive but work a treat on OES etc etc. Thats all we use in the salon & it would do my head in using the other clippers to do OES,spoodles, labraddodles etc etc. Havent used horse ones but if the powre is stronger then they could well be the better cheaper alternative
