  1. actually you can ;) It's just a matter of training them to go ON COMMAND .. and then,when walking, there is no peeing or pooing except where YOU want them to go . I trained many many dogs to do this, when doing Guide dog training ...as a lot of guide dogs go to work ..and at pee breaks , there is often only a small area in which toileting is possible/permitted. Must admit- seeing dogs peeing everywhere when walking is a pet hate of mine I would be interested in this also.

  3. Sometimes our pets are all we have.
  4. Question for the OP - What makes you think the bitch is pregnant?
  5. I'm glad both dogs are ok. Good on you for coming up with a resolution that means both dogs get a happy ending
  6. No - I do mean terriers, I would say yes to the spaniels as being brachy. I think your right about the terriers, they do appear to have a longer skull shape. Cheers
  7. Is a Tibetan Terrier considered a brachycephalic breed? Thanks
  8. I am so sorry for your loss :D Take care of yourself.
  9. When I used to work in retail we sold this product: http://2ols.com/item_10052_459672006-Syner...r-Dogs-6-oz.htm Don'y know how effective it will be in this situation, but might be worth a shot
  10. ;) Should have marked them "do not bend" to account for the idiot factor. Obviously it was a book, surely commonsense would tell you to try and keep it as flat as possible. ;) Not to worry, I LOVE it anyway - its a great book :D
  11. Got mine today it looks great. The only problem I have is that the idiot postman decided to fold it in half to fit it in my mail box :D
  12. If you are concerned it might be worthwhile going in as a potential client and having a look around the place. If there are any concerns then at least you have an eye witness account.
  13. OH NO........I think my cats a Staffy What an enlightening experience for you Kirislin. How lovely for this caring citizen to be sharing their expert knowledge with you.
  14. Wow, what can you say really? Tragic, sad, heartbreaking Why can't people just leave animals alone?
  15. We have a few elderly clients with adopted aged greyhounds, they absolutely adore their companions and I'm sure the feeling is mutual. It's so beautiful to see the happiness animals bring to elderly peoples lives (and all other ages too).
  16. I have a Siamese who would fit the bill perfectly (apart from being the wrong species) - here he is complete with possessed eyes;
  17. What a nice gesture, someone has obviously been moved by you enough to part with their hard earned cash, to buy a stranger a gift. I'm sure its genuine, if someone was wanting to bait your dogs they would surely be more discreet about it If the treats are packaged I don't think I would have a problem with giving them to my dog (if she didn't have weight issues). Just my opinion.
  18. As of last year in QLD we legally have to tattoo everything we desex now (cat & dog). It used to be optional, but I think the new law came in around the time of the new microchipping laws (July? last year). Don't know about other states though.
  19. Jaybeece, I bawled my eyes after reading this what a beautiful, beautiful tribute. I hope the pain in your heart eases soon. Your cats were as lucky to have you as you were to have them. :D
