  1. Not a full catalogue, but the vast majority of trials give you a list of which class has which numbers allocated to it. So you can work out where you are (provided everyone turns up!). E.g. CCD 1-15; Novice 16-34; Open 35-50; etc etc
  2. If I'm not in the first couple of dogs I usually turn up with about 15 minutes to go with vetting. If I'm one of the first in the ring I'm usually there earlier, say 30 min before end of vetting. They're always crated after vetting. I usually get them out for a toilet break about 5-10 minutes before we are going in then back into the crate. I don't usually get them out until the dog before us is in the ring and then I do a bit of the 2 food game for Jedi and some of Abby's fav tricks for her to get them excited and then I just do a few turns and positions and then we go in.
  3. Yeah that would work on him too! Though I think it would work so well I'd leave him at the start peg
  4. For the past few weeks I've been retraining Jedi's heel position... I don't know whether he was overflowing with energy now that his allergies mostly aren't an issue anymore on his current treatment, or whether I've just been slack with training... Probably a combination of things! But this morning I finally got a session out of him with absolutely NO forging! We still have a fair way to go to make sure he doesn't go back to his old habits but at least we are getting there!
  5. Not me... It's right before my exams. BUT I will be at the 2011 nationals with bells on!!!!
  6. No, they don't have to stand square, however if they do they are going to feel more stable for the exam which means you won't lose points for the fact that her legs aren't square, but you may lose points if she moves a foot to balance herself. But if it's only off by a tiny bit then she should be okay.
  7. My guys live inside full time but can ask to go out if they want to. They rarely get taken on a 'walk' - they get their exercise and stimulation other ways.
  8. I'm not sure if DogsVic is different to here, but you send the dog's registration papers (the one with their pedigree, etc on it) and send a photocopy of all the qualie certificates.
  9. Yep it is definitely easier to divide a metal crate and some of them even come with dividers.
  10. It is almost finished uploading ETA - Here we go. Demi herding (with additional soundtrack by Soaks :D ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvWwXqvCOvI
  11. For an adult lappie, a 36" crate is the appropriate size. Saphira at the moment needs the crate made to be significantly smaller (just enough room for her to turn around and stretch out) so if you are to get a full size 36" crate, make sure you have a way to block it off (cardboard box or a divider). She has slept in both metal and soft crates and hasn't shown any inclination to chew either, so if you were planning to go for a soft crate for her, she should be fine so long as she doesn't all of a sudden turn into a destructo-puppy :D
  12. Some more of Miss Fablette... 24 weeks Family portrait Playing with the big girls
  13. We just got back into herding after about a year off. Unfortunately we won't have much to report because it's now getting too hot for our guys! We were out at herding today and the heat was making it really difficult for them. I wish herding training started at 6am instead so it was cooler! :D
