OMG that is such a good idea especially considering my nerves! I am going to think of you every time we do stays now Who knows why I started doing it!!! But it certainly eases the nerves - I'm always freaked that Jedi's going to scratch so it keeps my mind in another place. That's one thing I forgot to say about Jedi's novice run last night... He hadn't had a steroid for TWO WEEKS!!!

Fingers crossed for you!!!! I sing "incy wincy spider" to myself during stays... Silly, I know - but it passes the time!!!! I know how many rounds of incy wincy make up 1-minute

Sounds like Jedi. He would literally refuse to work on my right side - like it didn't even exist!! So I went home and taught him right-sided heeling... Problem solved!

I got some really good tips from another trialler last night when she watched Jed and I in the ring... She was so helpful - watching out for any second cues I might get pinged for. And she said the same thing as you Ptolomy about Jedi's left turns - how he gets pushed out of position because I'm turning too fast. I tried slowing down and it made a HUGE difference! So now I need to try and do that in the ring and not rush things. I'd like to get a video of Jed doing a novice round before we trial... Maybe get someone to rip it to shreds for me

Unfortunately Jedi's favourite treat is chicken... Unfortunate, as he's allergic to it! :p But boy he would probably take a year's worth of scratching for one piece of chicken! His favourite that he's actually ALLOWED to have is cheese. Ahsoka's fav is chicken. Speaking of these two - Ahsoka gave me some really nice heelwork tonight! She wasn't as distracted as usual and managed some duration heelwork greater than 5 steps ;) We're finally making consistent progress! :D Jedi had his first go at a novice round for judge's training... I think he was a bit confused about the lead coming off as soon as we got in there! ;) But he gave me some really nice work aside from absolutely NO sits in his heelwork and the start of the recall... Looks like I have yet another problem to fix! Though on the plus-side there was absolutely no forging and he did a lovely COP. But I'm confident about his novice debut in 2 weeks.

I can't wait to get my two back into training!! I'd love to compete with them... I hope we get there!
