  2. Buying online or in a store? Some sites that have RuffWear Griptrex boots and Skyliner boots: http://www.caninespirit.com.au http://www.waggle.com.au http://www.twobigdogs.com.au/
  3. Mine too except I don't actually do the walk part all that often! I rarely take my two for a 'walk'... They get taken places so many days a week that I don't think it's really necessary. Though they do come on runs for fitness training.
  4. My OH was being very fussy about what breed - he would dismiss breeds just by looking at a picture! When I showed him a photo of a Keeshond he was sold! They ticked all our boxes - fun, active, cheeky, good personalities and overall a dog that could keep up with our fairly active lifestyle. We loved the amount of fur, too! It turns out they are a perfect fit and I will never live without at least one. Once we got Jedi we absolutely fell in love with spitz breeds in general. So when we were looking for a second dog, we were deciding between a Samoyed and a Finnish Lapphund. We chose the Lappie after experiencing lappie cuddles for the first time! ;) The other reasons we went for the lappie was because they are a working breed so would be good for dog sports, would keep up with our lifestyle and would be a bit more on the go than Jedi. I absolutely LOVE how she is always ready to go (work/play/run/etc) but has a really nice off-switch. She is crazy and a LOT of fun but gives the best cuddles! It's the best of both worlds.
  5. Mostly manual unless I'm shooting flyball - then it's TV mode coz I'm lazy ;)
  6. It's the same in NSW... you don't have a choice - you HAVE to send in the original papers with it otherwise they won't process it.
  7. Hmm... Maybe I'll do the DB if we have to compete in novice after we've got our title (entering too many trials)... That'd be fun!
  8. You could always tie something loosely to his ear? like a ribbon? Let it dangle over his face
  9. Can so relate to that RS - I once told River to "drown"
  10. We are doing COP for novice... Jedi enjoys his dumbbell work but I figure there's a whole lot less that can go wrong with his COP than with his dumbbell!!!! His COP is usually pretty perfect. I can't wait to hear about Daisy's debut, huski! Soooo exciting!
  11. If I could, I would... But I don't think the hospital would be a big fan The patients might think it was a little odd.
  12. WELL, i utubed CCD OMG. We are soooo not ready. Guess we will be on the side lines for a while. Thats great cos Hastings is my club. Guess i might see you there then scout You can always post videos on the YouTube thread here and get some comments/suggestions from DOL triallers... It's very helpful! Even just videoing yourself and watching it back is very helpful in itself, even if you're just using it to review your own footwork, etc.
  13. One of my youtube friends does them... zsianz1
  14. Congratulations RS!!!!!! Here's Jedi in novice today -
  15. Not on paper... I have a 'to do' list of what I'm teaching each dog on the wall but I don't keep a formal progress diary or anything. I plan sessions before I do them, but again, not on paper.
  16. It was supposed to be in 2 weeks but my friend's bub is having his christening and so I'm ditching the trial for that. Next one after that is on June 20. Congratulations!!!!!!!
  17. OMG!!!!!!!!! Jedi got his first novice pass!!!!!! 189/200 AND!!!! FIRST PLACE!!!!!!! Not a steroid in sight!
  18. PM woofenpup - she's helped with ET vetting before
  19. :D That sounds like something Jedi would do! Jedi absolutely adores the game... He was blowing a top when I swapped to play it with Soaks! Normally he just sits quietly and watches while I train Soaks! I had to get OH to hold him back and reward him for being quiet! :D
