I think one standard Poo would fill the whole tub. I'm lucky I can fit all 4 of mine in, I took the boys on their own last time and it was strange as there was so much room! While we are on the subject of dog bathing does anyone put their dog in the shower with them?

Love the name, we have 2 here in town and sometimes they are gross and full of hair, I asked the guy if there was any way they could have better drainage, they said they just need maintaining a bit more. the one I went to today has only been open a couple of weeks, so it is all shiny and new. Here in town they are true blu. We had a local grooming salon that let you use their hydro but it was $15 per dog, ok if you only have one.

Gayle, I find the dryers really ordinary, not warm enough at all. I read about your bath contraption it sounds excellent. I use the bath on hands and knees at home and it takes me ages but they do get cleaner and I can use my own shampoo and conditioner. The dog was I used today is $12 for 10 mins.

I guess it is a bit like using public showers at caravan parks. I don't use the dog wash all the time but they are good when I'm pressed for time or they are not really dirty but still need a freshen up. I find I do a better job at home of course one at a time. very handy to be able to wash all 4 at once though.

Hi guys, just curiosity on my part, mostly I was the dogs at home, I do feel they get cleaner with a home bathing. But every now and then I use the local dog wash, we have a new one which is great. I wondered how many feel that they are not sanitary and the dogs might "catch" something. I didn't really give this too much thought till someone asked me one day what it was like and how did I find it and was I worried about germs?? I just said its great for a quick bath and my lot are all vaccinated and I would hope any germs would be rinsed away with the dirt. It was great today as it was a really warm day here and I just popped all the dogs on the back veranda to dry ( I usually blow dry) so now they are all curly mops and lovely smelling doggies. :D A quick vid of them in the tub, easy to see who enjoys it the most.

This would have to be my favorite thread atm, love hearing what everyone is getting their furkid, and themselves. I sorted all my stuff today and packed the pups Santa sacks full of their goodies, can't wait till Xmas morning. KC glad everything dried out, I loved the little bags with the paw prints I got 4 to fill with treats for my guys, they always gets swag each for Xmas and they last a month or so! Just out of curiosity did anyone order around the 23rd Nov and still hasn't received their order? Only reason I'm asking is Im waiting for something to come from the US and still hasn't got here yet, it was sent on 23rd.

Would someone be able to post a pic of the weave poles when they set them up? We went to a doggy Xmas party on Sunday and I popped the dogs bits and pieces in the bag I got from clean run and showed my friend and she said well that looks way to go to be a dog bag.

"single Parent" Dolers - How Many Dogs Do You Have?

After reading radials post financially I hadn't given it a thought. If I was single I would still cope financially with their needs but because of hubbys earning I have the most spoilt pooches in town. -
"single Parent" Dolers - How Many Dogs Do You Have?
tlc replied to Simply Grand's topic in General Dog Discussion
Hi, just wanted to add my 5c worth even though I'm not single, as you know I have 4 and all their needs are catered to by me, (bathing, grooming, excercising, training, feeding etc) My OH works long hours and the only amount of time he spends with the dogs is in the evening and his Association with them is purely enjoyment. My life with my dogs would be no different if I was single and I manage fine. My OH loves the dogs and if I ask him for help he will but this is not very often. In your case the only draw back would be if you had to go to hospital, but if you have someone who can take care of them then it should be all good. The biggest thing with me having 4 is I only have to work part time so have lots of time to spend with them, I know if I had to work longer hours I would feel guilty but that's just me, I know there are multi dog families out there that owners work full time and they manage fine. It's great for them to have each other for company too. -
Oh Tenties, that's a nice idea but a definate no. I couldn't put someone out like that and also my friend who we are visiting on Sunday has offered for us to stay there but Mr tlc is adamant that we are not staying there, but if we found accomodation that would be fine. Looks like we are just getting up early on Sunday morning. Thanks anyway!

Yep that was one I come up with too, think we are out of luck, most places are book 2 nights or dogs outside only.

Hi RP, you wouldn't happen to know of any pet friendly accommodation in Ballarat by any chance?

Merry Xmas to you to, long time no chat! Great news about Bundy! How's the eyes these days? I tried out the new dog wash today and much to my horror after a very busy day and having a shit cold and being completely exhausted, I put the boys in pop my 12 bucks in and the stupid machine tells me I need another $4 So my phone is in the car and I have no other money, so out the boys come back on their leads out to the car, get my phone, ring the dog wash dude (Ian) what a nice guy, he can't figure it out but said put the $4 in and he will catch up with me and give me some tokens for a couple of free washes. thing is I had no other money. so Seany babe to the rescue, he was nearly on his way home from work so dropped past and give me the 4 bucks and we finally got our wash on. I love it there heaps better than caramut rd! I know Shan has tried it out, has anyone else yet? We went to the hospital today to have our pics taken with our new sponsors for next year and one lot of the sponsors were a group of school kids ( can't remember which school) that raised the money themselves, how cool is that!!

All 4 of my guys love Santa, we have a party every year and one of the guys dresses up as Santa gives the dogs presents and they get on his knee for a photo, they love it! Our annual Christmas dog party is this Sunday, I can't wait!

Good advice, now is definatley the best time. What I did with my oldest was put him out with something interesting and when I could see he was getting ready to look for something else to do, I would let him in before he had a chance to whinge about it. Or give him something else to play with. He did go through a short phase of crying/barking at the door, someone suggested a quick short spray of water from a water bottle timed exactly when he was barking, it worked great, only ever did it once, he caught on pretty quickly. Not sure other would recommend the spray bottle but it worked for us. I didn't need to worry about the other 3 as they took their lead from the oldest who was happy to be out when need be. I think most trainers will tell you ignoring is the best method butitishard especially if you have neighbors, but if you find what works stick with it. By the way great name, the biggest dog in my soggy and avatar is Cooper too.

What's Under The Christmas Tree For Your Furkids
tlc replied to k9angel's topic in General Dog Discussion
I'm the same, I went online shopping & may have went a little overboard I have a box full of toys & food treats & like yourself I have to sort it into 4 piles for my 4 dogs. I don't have any kids, so it gives me a bit of excitement on Christmas morning to see the dogs enjoying their new toys & treats. I've even got my Cockatiel a new mirror & a honey seed stick treat, & the horses will be getting some Carrots on Christmas morning too. we don't have any kids either and we love seeing the furkids having a ball with all thier presents on Christmas morning! -
how do the foam balls hold up to power chewers? I think I got about one of every ball for my ball obsessed girl, wishing I had of got one a rope now my boy chewed the bum out of a small cuz today, I usually let them play with them for a while then put them away but he had it a bit too long today and realized when he chewed the hard bit at the back it broke in half.
