  1. Rozzie what lens are you using? I don't think your doing too much wrong, the focus is a bit lacking, (I'm an expert at lacking focus so I have an eye for it now  ) possibly a bit close?? Great depth of field in the second photo. Are these right out of the camera? What settings are you using?
  2. Love it, great work, Bec look awesome, look forward to the rest of the series!
  3. Thanks Guys, I have found a few over seas and that one in the link will post to world wide so its an option too, but Id prefer to get one locally. I really want to have the seats down so the dogs have more room but its not practical if they can get over the front, only other way is if we put two more anchor points down and tether them to the floor, not sure if that would work or not. if they travel in the back seat they are clipped to the seatbelt straps by their collars but if they are in the very back with the seats up they are not tethered at all. Im not even sure whats actually legal, I do know I have been pulled over by the police and had two in the back seat untethered and two in the rear and they never said anything apart from cute dogs! so i really don't know? Ill be sure and pop back here If I find something.
  4. Ok that makes sense, I did botch one up and the falls were so clear and we were just a blobby blur.
  5. Ok I will check it out, thanks. I am loathed to post this next photo but I just put it on FB so I might as well put it here too, I thought it was a pretty good example of focus, I am finally starting to figure out the 7Ds focusing system. Any feedback from this shot appreciated. exif f/4 1/400 iso 100 edited to add, I set the shot up and put the camera on a post, I totally forgot Hugas tip to put the focus on Manual but it worked out ok anyway.
  6. Ive had my 7D just over 2 weeks and I have already taken around 3000 photo!
  7. You girls are keen I love your enthusiasm! :)
  8. I thought Puppy sniffer might have joined us in here with her new camera?
  9. Snook, must look into them, will admit to not knowing anything about them. Jo I am the same, I just want to learn learn learn and could talk photography all day. I had a big dull patch where I hardly ever picked up the camera and I was sad, it was like I'd lost my thirst for it, but Im glad to say it is back! I am annoyed I have to work, would rather be playing with my dogs and taking photos all day long!!
  10. Yes fantastic achievement.
  11. Yes I totally agree, sometimes I think Im posting way to much and too many photos but then I just thought hey if people don't want to look they don't have too! Ive learnt heaps about my new camera too which is great and I appreciate the help. I also have been more swayed towards trying Macro and thinking about getting a lens but I just don't know if it is something I would keep up with? I can't decide but after seeing CCs snail it reminded me how much I love macro shots and it might be something Id like to try but its a lot of money to folk out if i then can't be bothered with it. I just don't know. It from one extreme to another do i get what i originally wanted the 70-200 f4 or A macro lens, extreme ends of the spectrum.
  12. Snapped again Snook!
  13. They are great GV, The first one is my favourite, it has kind of a macro 3d ish effect. I love the one of you, your dress is an awesome colour and I think it works well in the shot. Also love the cemetery one, that little teddy just got me. I must be really lazy because the thought of lining up all them pictures and stitching them all together just does my head in and I couldn't be bothered, So well done great job. Sorry Im not familiar with the technique so can't really give you any technical feedback.
  14. I think so yes, gorgeous kitty! To me artistically it would possibly more pleasing to my eye if both ears were completely in the picture but thats just me.
  15. Hi Guys does anyone know where I might get one of THESE CARGO BARRIERS from. I have googled and googled and can find them in the US but not here. I have tried the material ones where they just hang around your front head rests but they are no good the dogs just want to jump over. I need a proper metal one so there is no way of them jumping through to the front seat. If anyone has had one or knows where I could get one I would love any info. Thanks heaps.
  16. Yes thats the one, love it!
  17. Nope the girl was older teenager, oh might have been a boy.
  18. I like the B&W of the right one more. Sweet fella!
  19. Nice shots, tough shadows! Really like the last one but the shadow on pups face has spoiled it a bit. Have you thought about just for the time being downloading a trial of LR from the adobe website.
  20. Fabulous Snook, I really liked the other one (on FB) of the crowd that features the young girl watching, I loved it first time I seen it.
  21. Geez that's pretty crap, have you rang them. I think I'd be demanding him back if I were you, they sound like aweful owners!
  22. Its funny Macro is never really been something Ive been interested in but then I see awesome pictures like yours and absolutely love them. Iltby was another awesome Macro taker! Im surprised at the price of that lens I thought they would be worth a fortune!
  23. Well I think they look spot on on my Mac then, I thought the second one was the same. I took some photos of a highland cow and miniature horse at work a while back, we have a lady who lives around here and she has them as pets and takes them to kids parties and events. They were lovely and placid. Don't see many of them around here.
  24. They are great Jo, on my screen (Mac book) she looks to have very gingery red hair in the first one and the second one its a lot darker.
  25. I haven't used it enough yet to notice, have you noticed a noise like a squeak, bird chirpy sort of noise when it focuses, it doesn't do it all the time only when it is trying really hard to focus on something that isn't really clear to it, if that makes sense. I think CC has the same lens too wonder if use has noticed it. It also does a quiet kind of chug chug noise when it is focusing but I think thats normal, I'm just having a bit of a read about it now. This is the second lens I have bought from OS and the first one never missed a beat (50mm 1,8 for the nikon) So hopefully this one will be as good. Pretty impressed with the delivery time too.
