  1. Jess I was almost tempted today too especially being across the road so often! But I resisted the temptation. After work we went back to bunnings to get some metal poles so I could remodel a barrier for the car and I got the bargain of a life time, they had a pig in mud ex large dog door on the cheap table for $75 bucks, I offered the boss $50 and he said $60 I said hell yea Ill take it! he said you know your getting a bargain don't you. It would have been a bargain at $75 hell it would have been a bargain at $200 So that was my good luck for the day and also the metal I expected to be $20 was only $5, gotta love a bargain!
  2. Im a bit early with week 33, just snapped this one of Lacy earlier in the week and loved it. Just wanted to add another nice one I took today
  3. I find with content aware fill if he back ground is all one colour and your taking out one thing then it works ok, anything other than that can go belly up. I do like he move tool though it pretty cool.
  4. Good to know, once you have had a play could you post what you think? Did yu plug camera into computer or do it via cf card?
  5. That looks great, Ive never seen that one before. Will show this one to the OH. Thanks for all the suggestions.
  6. You have quite the menagerie there Chris, looks like the camera is getting a good work out. It takes great shots, can you actually use it underwater or is it waterproof?
  7. Luke do you use content aware fill in PS much? M&Dm, I mostly use LR but occasionally PS.
  8. Nice shots Annie, especially the second one, such a sweet face. Thought I'd add this one, from the 21st I was at a few weeks ago, they asked me to be the offical photographer. :) it reminded me of an old 70s shot with the B&W added, I think its the ladies dress and his scarf.
  9. Yea I thought that too, but as it is one that you make higher or lower with the tensioned poles it wont work as soon as you hit a bump they come lose as the seat is not hard. Does that makes sense?
  10. Its certainly looking that way Tenties. My initial thought was perhaps he got out and somehow travelled over that way, Portland is a reasonable way from here.
  11. ST, that one looks a bit sturdier, I have to get something else now as quicksales deposited the money back into our paypal account and quicksales wont respond to any of my emails, so there is something really strange going on there.
  12. I agreed Snook, I thought either of the other two photos were much better than the one they picked, Admittedly it would have been tough in the light she had to work with but they told her the camera was capable of dealing with the low light but she didn't seem to take them on board. I felt most of her shots she was just snapping away hoping to capture something. I guess thats all she could do considering the group she had to work with. She did also seem genuinley shocked at winning. The judges made out that the shot was a deliberate set up shot but I don't think it was, just a snap in amongst all the others. Did anyone happen to see exactly what camera was used, it was definaltey a canon, my guess was 7D or the 5D but they made sure everytime the camera was on the camera the cameras badge wasn't visible. I was waiting for them to mention it at the start but they never did.
  13. Naomi, the dogs eye is amazing, so are the rest of your shots, great work! Snook, I love the textures, I know we have talked about this before but I haven't had a go yet.
  14. Well sounds like you need another boy dog for sure! With regards to this dog in Portland, its not everyday you see a 'coolie' in the pound, he is listed on the page as a "German Koolie" I'm not up with Coolie speak but to me it sounds like he maybe from a breeder like you said, must pop over to the coolie thread and see. Im sure if Pandiis dog had got out and run away she would have checked all the pounds in the area.
  15. Well thats crap about PGD, I have had my friends txting me to see if I knew about the sale, I haven't even bothered to go in. A I already have way too much dog stuff  and B I am trying to save some money for new lenses for my new camera! Jj, it would be nice if you kept a boy, good company for Tarni, not that she needs it with your house full but doggy company you know what I mean. I was on the Warrnambool buy and sell livestock page yesterday and seen some posts by a lady in Portland showing dogs for rehoming at the shelter over there. I swear to god one of them is Pandiis Dusty, has anyone heard from her lately. I could be wrong but the age fits and it looks like him.
  16. I was going to write exactly what Clyde said. Amazing photos, the dogs look like they are having a ball!!
  17. Hey how's everyone doin? What's news?
  18. I think tonight is the last night. I was going to pop the same thing up earlier.
  19. Huga I would never have guessed the Frenchie had a lead attached.
  20. This is not the best photo but I loved that I could do this to it.
  21. Thanks Rysup, thats similar to the one I have and guess what it don't keep pets in the back of the car. I ordered one of the ones that Griff posted the link to, getting a bit worried though, I paid and haven't heard a peep form them not even confimation of it being sent or anything. Payed with pay pal so if it doesn't show up we can dispute it. Ive sent a couple of emails so hopefully will hear back from them soon.
  22. Just found THIS about a problem with the AF in this lens, looks like there will be a fix for it though.
  23. With my old DSLR, to try these sort of shots, I had to either wait till the subject got close enough or continuously refocus the shutter when the subject got close enough to shoot. Is amazing what new technology there is with cameras now.
