I've been covered in bush ticks on my back, and they didn't look anything like that, mind you they were small and didn't have time to gorge themselves on blood so I dont know, the ticks I know that are paralysis are cream sort of colour in the body. Best all ticks be gone anyway. J.

I was looking for another thread to sort of vent but I couldn't find it, a similar thing just happened to my dog about 45 mins ago, my dogs just had her flew/lip ripped open by a staff pit mix. Short story 2 dogs dog and bitch are fence agro and very rarley seen mind you, well the male one just busted through the gate and charged and grabbed my dog in the street, I kicked it for six, the stupid thing rushed back and all I could do was just grabbed it by the scruff and rump before it contacted again and hurled it over the fence. I can't get to a vet till tomorrow so I just irrigated the wound with a syringe full of betadine.

Not in my neck of the wood they couldn't. In fact they would be torn a new one by the magistrate!

Its all stitched up too, I cant open a vet clinic and simply employ vets to work because I am not a Vet myself. Big industry man.

What right do they have though? I can understand being involved in matters of purebreeds who are mistaken for pitbulls in identification, but how can they claim to be able to identify a percentage of a restricted breed within a multiple breed. Tragic, I remember reading about a woman who I think was a Doler many years ago also deceased by rescue dogs in NSW.. The races are not an issue, the trigger is not race related, no matter any speculation. redirection in a dog fight could very well be the trigger in the deceased though. In saying that. I have read many on many dog boards of many people who have very large canine families of the races mentioned, and no problemo in management.

Where are you? Pet registrations generally fund local laws. I don't know any where it's free - apart from remote shires that have no animal management set up yet. Cooloola shire, all rate payers fund local animal management laws whether dog owner or not. entires are 80, desexed is 20, and desexed and microchipped is free.

What i think? I think Vic is led by imbeciles. Where I am you can desex when ever and if ever you want ,and micro chipped it's then free registration for life.

Might stop some island hoppers bringing dogs in via PNG. Doubt it though . I don't get why dogs can't simply be cleared of disease in there respective country, and just be done with all of it.
