I only just today picked up a Liberty Ultra Force (I think thats the brand name) dryer and can't wait to use it! (how sad am I ) But I have been told good things about this brand. One thing I will say it be careful with heat. The Sammie coat is delicate and continued exposure to heat can make the coat dry and brittle, it can even go yellow in some cases. What you want is something very strong that will just blast the water right off the coat. Oh and your Sammie is very cute.

Really? so they are smaller than samoyeds then? Samoyeds stand at 20 inches top height for bitches and 22 top height for dogs. I believe (and the Lappie people will correct me if I'm wrong) a male Lappie is roughly about the size of a larger Samoyed bitch

Samoyeds are not just sled dogs (and no, its not a white husky, nor a small malamute and the breeds have nothing to do with one another). More often then not they were used for herding reindeer. They were also used for guarding, hunting and heaters.

I don't get much choice in Sammies Although we do get cream and bisuit and white, those colours don't often come threw until the dog is older so its hard to judge if the pup will end up that way. My OH is getting a Bullmastiff and we both have our likes and dislikes for colour, I love reds, he likes fawns but in the end we will take which ever dog is the best prosect. I am far more interested in temperment and confirmation then colour.

Yes I have stayed with the pets we had to have pts. The most recent was our Malamute and that even had our vet crying, she was such an amazing girl. She had to be sedated before because she was so big and even as ill as she was she made it hard. Gods that broke my heart. Also while working as a vet nurse I helped put down many many dogs, not one of them thrashed or staggered around. Most went peacfully.

As soon as you bring them home. And some will still fight you every step of the way. EDT, T time is correct a good breeder should start out with the pups before they come to you too.

How much grooming are you willing to do? Some of the breeds you have on there needs quite a bit and they leave a lot of hair around the house when dropping coat.

I showed Newfs before the Sammies and I noticed that a few could be protective but most didnt really seem to care less. Their bark is very impressive and I suspect that more people would be put off by that then the dog actually doing something.

I talk to them in the ring and I use their nick names. never had any issues yet.

I have a two year old sock stealer. Problem for us is the miserable bugger keeps swallowing them whole Our vet is amazed that he can always get the things threw...... Misty can even open drawers so even being super tidy dosn't help. I have got the bedroom door shut at all times unless we are in there with him and the drawers a locked shut.

Thats pretty intense behaviour for a baby I would personally be getting a behaviourlist in to figure out the situation for you before it gets worse. Someone in your area should be able to give you the name of someone good.

How old is the Chow?

As an owner of Samoyeds I know only too well how badly some dogs react to the curled tail, pricked ears and large fluffed coat.

My OH is worse then me. I like the dogs on the bed but only at the end, I need breathing space when I sleep! My OH will cuddle the dogs all night

3 dogs, 1 Lab, 2 Samoyeds and 4 Cats, 2 Burmese X and 2 moggies. The dogs are all very good with the cats, never had any issues. Two of the cats hate the dogs and stay away from them, the other two think they are dogs and love their puppy friends.

My Lab is an un papered pure (well we think but who knows) and its not something I will do again. Now that I have had the pleasure of papered pedigrees I am very happy to say I am a purebred snob too, I want to know what I am getting and stuff what others think.

And this is why I think I am cracked in the head for getting into breeding
